I'm way behind and haven't even listened to The Alien yet, but I'm crossing my fingers I get into the listening party tonight.... I can't get there more than like 10-15min early because of work today.

Yeah! What are you looking to do? I'm not super familiar with the blocks immediately around that Sonos store, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly retail. If you're looking for restaurants/bars and stuff within a 20-ish minute walk, I'd suggest either heading up a couple blocks towards the NYU area/Greenwitch Village (probably the closest option to the store, but also stuff over there tends to be pricer IMO.. there are also lots of college-type bars around the W4 St subway stop), or east towards the East Village/Lower East Side (maybe less pricey - definitely still NYC prices - but some of my favorite bars in the city are over there.. RPM bar is cool, Old Man Hustle is tiny and great, there are a ton of other options as well). And if you're just looking to kill time, there's a nice pedestrian and bike path along the Hudson River with some parks (they're south a little ways) and a nice view of Jersey and stuff. If you walk west until you run into the water, you can't miss it.

I know a lot more bars than restaurants, haha. But if you want more specifics, let me know!

Nothing extraordinarily new. Just mostly talked about his process in songwriting and coming up with harmonies and working with the producers

Nice! Washington Square Park is huge (for NYC park standards at least) and pretty close by. Greenwitch Village in general is fun to walk around, there are a ton of jazz and comedy clubs and little shops and stuff. Some of the more popular tourist stuff is closer to the southern tip of Manhattan, if you've got time to head down there (it's not far, but you'd probably wanna take the subway) the new World Trade Center complex is pretty cool to see too.

Also, if you type an area's name into Google Maps it'll usually pop up with borders so you know where the neighborhood starts and ends. Whenever people would be like "oh check out SoHo/Greenwitch Village/the LES/etc" or whatever I'd be really confused until I figured that out. Dunno if that's common knowledge and it just took me way too long to realize it, but it helped me so much lol.

@mercury @ChiliTacos i just got an email saying my rsvp for tonight wasn't accepted due to maximum capacity. I called the store and they said as long as I get there early I should be good. Did you guys get a similar email? Going to be pissed if I traveled to NY today for no reason
