I was searching for IR on vinyl yesterday haha. They're expensive. That album made me appreciate change and even broadened my musical taste as a 14/15 year old when it came out. It was so different from all the punk/pop punk/hardcore stuff I was into at the time. For that, It'll always mean so much to me.

I've said this earlier in the thread. But In Reverie always reminded me of the band Nada Surf. So, I figured I'd share some Nada Surf songs for those of you who may have never really listened to them and love the vibe of In Reverie or are wishing for another In Reverie type album.

Been listening to this band a lot more often lately. Forgot how much I enjoy them. Stay What You Are and the S/T are probably my favorites, but Sound The Alarm and Daybreak are hitting me hard right now

Daybreak's title track is still so sick. Still feel like that album as a whole is still pretty new to me, besides the title track (at least compared to their other albums)

If any of the more recent shows and Conley's more apparent hippieness are any indication, I can see them taking a pretty experimental direction. Those interludes they've been doing are super weird so I can see it going that way. I just hope that stick to high production value unlike Two Tongues Two. Also, this video Chris and Arun talk about having both of them doing their own weird lines at the same time and that's the direction of the next StD album (3:30 mark). We'll see! Can't wait!

If the production is not decent, I will not listen. The second Two Tongues album and newest SA album are atrocious. I make better sounding tracks using GarageBand, a pot, and broken guitar.

Im down for experimentation, but taking down the value of production as a part of experimentation is just laziness to me. There are right ways to do it and wrong ways.

Yeah, the part where Chris describes wanting to do the space pedal thing resonated when I first saw this. I'm also looking forward to the song Chris Conley described as his favorite Saves song. He tweeted after his meltdown that the first track on the upcoming album is his new favorite.

Part 2 Chris talk about the "Future Saves The Day" and describes it as more fuzz in the right spots and delay. Could be cool. Especially with his Jazz chords he likes to use.

Myspace vids memory: during STD tour of spring 2008 there was a video of Chris Conley hanging out with Set Your Goals and he was drunk being all cute and stuff. Set Your Goals were kinda encouraging drunk Conley. Not the cute drunk in his meltdown video though.

Yea. I totally get his frustration, but he just went about it the wrong way, imo.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Talkers have gotten OUT of control at shows though. But yes, agreed he went about it wrong. Anthony looks so uncomfortable.

My girlfriend told two people in front of us at LCD Soundsystem to stop talking on Wednesday and they were beyond offended. This isn't complicated, people.

That is incredibly annoying. I went to see Hammock a couple years back in a very intimate setting and had to deal with the same issue. I can't image how that feels to the artist. It's like a slap in the face.
