Watchmen is def an underrated movie (and Snyder's best superhero movie by a long shot) but I agree that it's better suited to a TV show. Damon's version will be awesome.

 

I'm just so tired of superheroes. I want him to make something new

 

Started season two of this today. About halfway through the first episode right now.

So I finished this today and damn, that was a good show. A little bummed we didn't see more of Jill after she showed up for Tommy's party. Aside from her calling her mom anyway.

Bill Maher had a good rant about these movies on his show a few weeks back...even though he's slimey.

 

Finally got around to watching the last two episodes. Loved the ending, Nora's story was heartbreaking.

 

The story of those two characters and their journey was always what the show was about for me so I'm very glad that's how the show ended.

 

Ann Dowd got a guest actress Emmy nom for season 3! This show deserves way more nominations but I'll take it!

I'm not stunned at all. I honestly would have been much more surprised if they had gotten a single nomination in a major category. The Emmys are bad.

 

Not surprised at all but it would have been nice. At least Carrie still has a chance for Fargo.

 

Im so angry that the Leftovers got snubbed AGAIN. Like seriously I like This is Us but how the hell did Milo get a nomination over Theroux for lead actor?

Getting mad that The Leftovers didn't get Emmy noms is like getting mad that (insert any good music artist) didn't get nominated for a Grammy. Old white men voting means that old white men shows and music get nominated

 

The Leftovers is at least 10x better than every show in the Best Drama not called Better Call Saul (I didn't see The Crown or This is Us, but I can assume)

 

That's not entirely how Emmy voting works and the nominations have been slightly better the past few years. I didn't expect this show to run away with the noms but I think the complete snub is a surprise.

 

I guess I'm just used to nominations for all award shows being expected and mostly boring
