I'm only getting two on 6. Upbeat electro sounding repetitive beats and the heavy 'The wolf' Stranger thing sounding BOMMMM BOM BOM. which was on the tour announcement video.

Getting The Alien tomorrow!

I went to the Papa Roach listening party about 2 months ago. You weren't allowed to bring phones in but they had an option to check them (as someone else mentioned) at the door. If you were caught with a phone you got kicked out immediately. I know sucky people suck but why try and break the rules on this one? What's to gain?

 

That's cool papa roach is still doing stuff. My fear isn't that I would want to break the rule but rather I would do it out of habit hah. If I can check my phone I'm going to

 

I've never been a big Papa Roach fan but that event was super cool. It was in an intimate room and the entire band walked around as the album played and shook hands and chatted with everyone. If the MO event is anything similar, everyone there is in for a treat.

 

Ha I have a feeling I won't want to chat with anyone while listening to this record lol I want to take it in the best I can! But then again I would love to have a convo with andy or Robert or anyone in the band :)

 

To clarify, they played the album through twice. For the majority of the first listen the band was just in the crowd jamming along. The second listen then walked around. After that, they had a formal meet & greet with a signing and photo op. For a free event they did a great job. The whole band was wasted though haha.

 

Haha thanks for the insight, I'm getting to the venue crazy early so that when I see a line start to form I can make sure I can get in.

I don't know how I would feel about my first listen to an album being surrounded by a bunch of strangers while people are walking around/talking. I have anxiety listening to new albums for the first time with my wife or friends around.

I like my first listen to be by myself, preferably while driving.

I remember when Foo Fighters released Wasting Light, they were driving the White Limo all over the country and stopping at random places for people to hear the new album before its release. I was in Charlotte at the time visiting friends and we went to one of the locations the limo went to and it was cool and all (the band wasn't there - some managers were) but I remember trying not to pay attention to what I was hearing because there were so many distractions I didn't want my first listen to be during all that chaos.

I believe they will go the same route as last time. In my best guess. Debut on Alt nation at 3PM on Thurs...Streaming everywhere Friday at midnight. With music video at noon on Friday.
