I honestly can't believe I'm going to finally see Frank tonight

 

I loved his set at Lovebox. Mixed bag reaction wise and I don't mean it to be a cliche but the crowd ruined it. They basically wanted "Slide" and "Thinkin' 'Bout You" and cared for little else. To the point where some obnoxious group were basically shouting that right near us. Ended up moving further back from his centre stage set up and enjoying myself way more. It was so beautifully intimate and inclusive.

He sounded amazing too. Shame he can't be on time though, particularly when inner-city festivals have strict curfews so our set time was shortest so far, but still - absolutely loved it. Also far smoother a set, no big restarts or whatevers.

 

Panorama less than a week away!

 

Hoping he does "Golden Girl" with Tyler at Panorama.

 

Anyone who saw him this summer already - what's the merch like? I saw some stuff online with custom t shirt printing.

 

Really fun - but you gotta be quick. So you can buy a plain t-shirt from them and have it printed but that adds $15-20 bucks on top of the price, or just take your own tshirt and have that printed on as much as you like. My girlfriend was told to go back to the merch tent at about 7pm for the second batch of printing, did that, they had run out of tshirts, so she went to a nearby store and bought a vintage Chanel one (perfect) and quickly ran back to get it printed on but they'd ran out of ink in that time. It's good, but if you want something, be there straight away as soon as you get in the festival.

 

Damn that's cool but sounds stressful. Was that the only kind of shirt for sale?

 

Yup, only screen printed shirts but with about 3/4 different designs ranging from the picture of him on the album artwork to the date of the show you're at to a couple others.

 

I really hope he does a full-on solo tour but I doubt he will. What size venues do you guys think he could play as a headliner?

 

He was really good tonight. Weird to see Alex G play the Echo last month and then see him playing with Frank tonight lol

 

Tonight was insane and Frank is one of my favorite artists ever

I kept getting distracted though because I was standing like 10 feet away from Tyler the Creator, Kendall Jenner, Brad Pitt and Chris Rock lol

 

I bet that was insane!

 

Haha yeah it was the same at Lovebox with Donald Glover, Spike Jonze (who filmed it) and Emilia Clarke there.

 

Were they just in the middle of the crowd blending in ?

I'm excited about the fact that Spike has filmed more than one set at this point.

He seems a lot more comfortable on stage than he did during those first few sets.
