I would have easily replaced Lens with like Bad Religion or Seigfried or something but it's a good setlist

Very glad to see he's still playing at least a little Channel Orange stuff, I thought he was gonna drop that entire album from his setlist for some reason

Bummed to not at least see Swim Good from Nostalgia Ultra though (that's actually one of my all time favorite Frank songs)

I don't know why I'm talking as if I'm ever gonna see him live lol

Yeah I'd have loved have seen "Swim Good" and "Novocane" on there but understand why they're not. Very happy with that setlist if it remains the same for Lovebox.

Having a ton of really good new material makes playing old stuff harder, wouldn't have been surprised if he did nothing pre-Endless

I think frank is one of the few artists where no matter what he plays I'll be satisfied AND disappointed because every song is so good.

Surprised that White Ferrari didn't make the cut since it's so popular but I'm really glad to see Lens, Futura Free, and Nights get the proper amount of love.

Do y'all think he'll ever play actual venues again or is the festival circuit all we'll get?

What a great setlist! Obviously everyone's going to have their own missing songs they want to see because his catalog is so stacked, but I'm happy to see so many tracks from Endless on there.

What was the stage setup like? How was the backing band, outside of the stop/start? Need them details!!!

Actually shocked by all the endless tracks. But still good to see no less.

Just being paranoid but I'm afraid that I'm going to miss a surprised merch/vinyl drop lol

I've definitely seen one in a record store, but apparently there's only bootlegs out there

Yeah record stores carry bootlegs of endless, cO, nostalgia, and the rarities compilation pretty often. I always consider buying but they are usually pretty expensive for their subpar quality.

Per set list fm they had a few more issues with the band tonight re: starting and stopping and the set was a little shorter (no pyramids from what I can tell) really hope that is all resolved by the time he gets back to the US

Is there any indication at all that he's doing a tour or are you just talking about FYF and whatever other random festival dates?

    Random festival dates sadly

Nah just talking about panorama and FYF which I think are his only two US shows scheduled so far.

Looks like he had a fucking blast at Parklife though, seeing near full-set, good quality videos - the couple of restarts etc. don't feel shitty or anything, just some creases he's ironing out and involves the crowd in on/jokes with them on whilst doing so. I hope it gets slicker too, but it still looks and feels like he's having the best time which reflected in the crowd.

He went in at the end of "Biking" too:

Better play "Pyramids" at Lovebox though haha.

I was there and he was actually quite underwhelming. Strange performance, quite unengaging. Felt like he lost the crowd quite early on. Still amazing to see him in person performing live though and any disappointment I have is all relative to the high esteem that I hold him in.

Yeah even the die hards at Reddit seem to agree that though parklife was better the general public was still relatively underwhelmed by the stop / starts and the backing tracks on some songs. The videos of nights / lens / biking are good but you can definitely tell he is rusty.

Also speaking of Reddit someone posted a photo with Spike Jonze and claimed that he said he's working on visuals for Frank, sooooo that would be gnarly.

Ah no way, that's a shame/interesting to hear. That's how I felt watching his Northside stuff but it seemed better at Parklife, for sure hope he gets back in the swing soon.

You go for both days? Any other personal highlights?

EDIT: Just realised who you are, was watching your Instagram stories throughout, hope you had an awesome time man.

Im hoping for a UK tour but maybe that's wishful thinking. I'd definitely go see him again, but yeah, he was really quite rusty and he appeared quite uncomfortable at times. The fact that he was 40 minutes late onto the stage was disappointing too. When he was good though, he was great. "Nights" was absolutely fantastic.

Uhmm, honestly the lineup wasn't really "my thing" per say, so there wasn't too much I got really excited for barre the headliners. I caught London Grammar for the second time within a fortnight and they're just an incredible live act. Run The Jewels and Danny Brown were a lot of fun too.

Despite some negative feelings towards the performance, seeing Frank was still the highlight of the weekend. The mans a star.

Yeah since you posted I've seen a lot of divisive thoughts on his performance at Parklife so that's fair. Sucks that because he was late, he ran into the curfew hence the lack of "Pyramids" etc. Really hope he gets it sorted.
