I am absolutely disgusted by this opinion.

I listened to both Fleet Foxes albums for the first time recently and enjoyed both, but I definitely liked the debut more.

 

Think you should have your vote taken away at the next election.

 

I bet if the only people who were allowed to vote were Mr Brightside fans, we'd have a better result.

 

If we removed Mr Brightside fans from civilised society, we'd have a better world.

 

That article was what got me thinking about the song and how I've never really liked it (besides the opening guitar line)

The best Killers song that isn't "When You Were Young" or "Mr. Brightside" is "Here with Me".

The Killers have many awful songs, but also a handful of real 'top-tier' songs imo. I saw them headline a day at Reading Festival one year and songs like Mr Brightside, When You Were Young and Read My Mind were fucking righteous, believe me. Unless of course, htis is, an unpopular opinion...

 

I remember buying hot fuss and thinking the only listenable tracks were Jenny was a friend of mine, bright side, and somebody told me. Holds true today.

"All These Things," "Read My Mind," "Why Do I Keep Counting," "The Way it Was." Those are probably my favorites.

 

"The Way it Was" is the only Killers song I remember that I really like.

 

I don't think they ever released "The Way It Was" as a single, which is bad form.

 

Change Your Mind for me, but Smile Like You Mean it and Jenny Was a Friend of mine run it close.

 

"Change Your Mind" is probably their most underrated song. Most people don't have time for anything on Hot Fuss that isn't from side one.

 

The only full album I've heard of theirs is Battle Born but I think my main issue with it is that their Springsteen influence runs a little close to imitation.

Some catchy songs but it just made me wanna put on Born to Run.
