My amazing family got me an Apple Watch as a graduation gift! However, I went to set it up and it has an activation lock on it (it's a certified refurbished model purchased from Target). Looks like I'll have to exchange it right?

 

Anyone have the iOS 11 developer beta? Is it functional enough to download?

 

I have it on my 6S, it's a little glitchy and it's slow when opening and closing apps. It's not unusable though.

Been running into an issue with my 2015 Macbook Pro where the screen will randomly go black, touchpad won't click, etc. Not running any high functioning programs, but also not plugged in. First time this happened was on the train a few weeks back, and it went black for maybe a second. This morning it went black for about a minute, came back for maybe 5 seconds, then went black again. When it comes back it's like it comes out of sleep, not a full restart or anything.

Just browsing forums I now just tried refreshing my NVRAM, but this seems like something I should be concerned about. Anyone else run into this problem?

I got 16 GB of RAM so it's gonna take a bit longer to get here than if I had just gotten the standard, but it should be here by end of next week at the latest.

So, of all the updates announced this week, this might be my favorite. Going to be extremely useful for me.

The little updates to AirPods this round are awesome. Probably my favorite piece of Apple tech.

 

Definitely check them out but if it helps, I own a 42mm space gray aluminum with the black sport band. Love it to no end. Thought it looked the best but that's more my taste. Simple, dark colors. I feel like the gold can be paired with a lot but it's just not exactly my style.
Either way, hope you love your watch when you get it!

Bit the bullet and upgraded iPads. Went from the second iPad to the new iPad that came out earlier this year. Love it, and can't wait for iOS 11.

Related: the iPad naming convention is awful.

 

I have a Mini 4 right now and as much as I love the size, I think I might end up getting the new iPad that came out in March also. The new productivity features for the iPad are going to be great on a screen that size rather than a Mini.

Think I'm going to grab that band this week. I'm so happy it's finally available to the public. I saw a comparison of the one they gave to employees last year to this one, and the colors on this are a ton more vivid. It looks great.
