Why do they do this though? I don't understand how they all form this kinda club or whatever it is. Blows my mind.

I concede, but I can't turn it into a lucid dream.

I tried to turn it into a sex dream, but the scary lady standing in the middle of my room remained scary and just standing there until she disappeared.

Hippos are legit the most dangerous and aggressive animals in the world. Pretty sure I've read that somewhere anyway...

  11. Yeah from what I've heard, hippos basically live for just wrecking humans lol

I read they run on the bottom of the rivers, lakes, etc. I want to see that part but I don't know how you would go about getting the footage w/o getting killed or something lol

My great grandma collected dolls and had a room wall to wall with hundreds of dolls. When she died they had to get a doll appraiser to help sell a bunch of them, but the ones that didn't sell family got stuck with. My mom gave me one she claimed reminded her of me (it has a smock and a paint easel. I don't even paint so she was just pawning it off on me) and it's been shoved in my closet ever since. Now I'm determined to scare someone at work with it. Me and my coworker were in the building super late borrowing a cart and I so wanted to put the doll on the cart and push it into the room the night janitor was cleaning in, but I had left it in my car. I think today I'll leave it on a ledge where he might see it because I'm a terrible person apparently

edit: I just wanna say that I am somewhat acquainted with this person and I'm not traumatizing a random stranger lol

    Story time:

Right after high school some buddies and I were part time mall cops because what the hell. We had handcuffs. It was fun and easy.

Part of the mall was abandoned for decades and closed off because of asbestos and other issues. Also the last tenants moved out in a hurry so there was still shit from the 90's everywhere, holes in walls, burns in the carpet and it looked like a run down hotel.

    I'd bring friends to investigate.

One time we were wandering around (in the dark with flashlights, no power there) and heard rustling / spooky shit. I pause and say, "wait" and suddenly some woman starts yelling / talking super loud over my radio - almost like chanting a speech or something.

Everyone freaks and runs out / back downstairs and we're all flabbergasted and weirded out. Only once we're back in the offices and in daylight does the real panic and "WTF!?" Kick in and forever creep me out.

I thought maybe my radio picked up a radio station or who knows what from one of the stores or something.

But I'd left my radio in the office so I wouldn't get feedback (which happened a lot in some areas up there).

WE HAD NO COMMUNICATION DEVICES WITH US. WHAT DID WE HEAR AND HOW.

Also note: all the stores around / underneath this part of the mall were closed so it wasn't like their PA system or anything.

    Still freaks me out.

Has the podcast Lore been talked about here? Really good, quick episodes.

Also Jeff Belanger, a folklore historian spoke at a local town library last year and it was really interesting. Being from New England, he talked about how a lot of the ghost stories stemmed from history and turned into folklore through certain misinterpretations.

Lore is a favorite of mine, and I appreciate Belanger's work. He's kinda local to me so I've seen him on PBS, and he is the researcher for Ghost Adventures.

My mom wanted to go for his work on Ghost Adventures, I didn't really want to go because I didn't care for those shows but his talk was really interesting and surprised me on the content. People asked questions about the show but his talk was wholly centered on the history of New England folklore.

Anything is possible, but almost guaranteed the answer is no. The space was on the 3rd floor of the building and the only way to access it was through 3 locked, almost bank-vault thick metal doors. Unless someone scaled the building and used a roof entrance (no fire escape ladder or anything to boot) it would be almost impossible.

Unless the person sheltering was a ghost!
