    I'm a total Kevin.

As for the finale-- as much as I want it to be completely out there and bonkers, I don't think it will be. They set up a lot of whacky ideas and generally swerve at the last moment to bring it back to reality.

It's going to be Kevin's journey getting back to Nora before she zaps herself into oblivion. I'd love for it to end with Kevin getting to Nora and Matt right after she does it, and Matt has to tell her she's gone. But that's like so grim that I doubt it happens.

Yeah, I think the finale is going to be pretty grounded. I don't expect any big twist or anything too out there.

Kevin/Nora is really all the closure I need at this point.

If I could ever interview lindelof the first thing I'd ask/say to him would be... "admit it...you originally thought Kevin's daughter and her high school friends were gonna play a bigger part in the series and then changed your mind"

In fact I'd go as far as saying I bet you thought a few characters were gonna play larger roles.

Season 2 and 3 are so much different than 1

Don't forget that this was originally planned as a 1 season mini-series that covered the length of the book. It was only because of the success of Season 1 that they kept going.

there we have it. While season 1 is solid, i feel like there were a lot of things you'd expect in a show like this. The daughter and her emo friends, felt like one of those things (and it was my least favorite part of the series).

It wasn't until season 2 and 3 where Damon really got creative where the show took off.

yep! I give a ton of props to Tom Perrotta who wrote the book and has worked on all 3 seasons with Damon, but when they made the decision to continue the show past the book it really, really opened up

Holy shit what a bummer it would've been if season 1 was the end.

Sort of fun fact: Tom Perrotta's cousin was my high school film and drama teacher.

the plotlines weren't satisfying, the character development was in a way where i didn't care about anyone on the show...just thought what it tried to do failed at creating good television.

last season was much better but still struggled in some of those regards, this season finally has elevated it to the level that the acclaim has generally been at imo
