Game is barely over and the Spanish press is running with Herrera to Barca. Feck off lads.

He'd be a step up on what you have in midfield, but it doesn't matter cause we won't be selling him.

ManU the better team today. Proud of the Ajax boys for a great season.

Not that surprised to see a team of stars beat a team of upstart 20 year olds.

So disappointing because if they played like they did in the 1st legs of the Schalke & Lyon games they would've won. United didn't allow them to play their game though, so the lack of a plan B was their undoing (and has been for several seasons IMO).

That's the reality of it; the difference between stubbornly sticking to a philosophy and simply doing what it takes to win. Any critical comments of United's approach last night is just redundant because they are the ones going home with the trophy, and Ajax will not get another chance like that for a decade or more. I'm not one who invests emotionally in football too much anymore, but they blew it and it actually hurts :tear:

God damn. City are signing Bernardo Silva

    Keeper
Walker - Stones - Kompany - New LB
    Fernandinho - Gundogan
    B. Silva - KDB - Sterling
    Jesus

Something like that? I can't picture him sticking with Bravo. Maybe an upgrade in CB with Stones dropping to the bench? Could see Otamendi leaving if that's the case. Maybe someone like Fabinho will come in to challenge Fernandinho and cover Walker/new RB. They've been linked with Mendy for LB recently.

Going to be a busy summer, that's for sure.

The more I think about United's transfer window, the more I think moving to a diamond suits us best.

    DDG/Keeper
    Valencia - Bailly - Rojo/CB - Shaw/LB
    CDM
    Herrera - Pogba
    Mkhi
    Griezmann - Rashford

A 433 push Griezmann out wide, and would require us signing a number 9.

A 4231 would mean forcing Pogba into a midfield two, and means whatever CDM we sign would force Herrera out of our XI.

The diamond lets us rotate between Griezmann, Rashford, and Martial for the spots up top. It also means we play with a number 10 every game, giving ample time to both Mkhi and Mata. Pereira and Fellaini should be decent cover for Pogba and Herrera. All the recent rumors have lead us to believe that Mou wants to bring in Dier, and I believe it given his tactical flexibility. My hope is that we let TFM be the understudy to wherever we sign as our 6. I think in the back line we'll ship off Jones, maybe bring in Keane. We'll need to bring in a LB regardless, curious as to who that'll be.

Rumours that City are also going for Mendy from Monaco too. Can see this being the biggest transfer window in PL history - So many teams are looking to spend big £££, and if Silva is £60million then how much are Griezmann/Lukaku/James Rodriguez/Kyle Walker gonna cost?!

Stick Griezmann a bit to the right as an inside forward and Mkhi on the left coming in and you've got my team. 4-3-3 for me though lol. Dier prob the the DM.

Also doubt we're selling Jones, Smalling will go before him according to all that's being said.

  21. The last one made me lose it. Oh man. The power of sports.

  22. And that doesn't include Mbappe who probably won't be sold this summer unless someone ponies up £130 million lol

  24. Silva to Watford. They must be throwing money at him, or he just really loves England

  25. Was that Tony Mowbray with the header?
