Any reason to expect an imminent announcement?

 

I still think they'll surprise drop the album when its ready. No pre-announcement. Just a 'hey guys, here you go' announcement the minute they drop it.

 

There being no quarterly info report as of yet - in other words, clutching at straws.

 

it wouldn't sell extremely well but for a band that is ending next year I'm not sure they would care

 

If there is one thing we do know about Brand New, it's that they haven't cared about sales since pre-TDAG.

Edit: Maybe post-TDAG/pre-Daisy. I do recall MTV running a bunch of ads/teasers for TDAG.

 

Eh, I don't know about that. Daisy was No. 6 on the charts and they've seemingly, inexplicably become way more popular in the last few years than they were 8 years ago. They're been playing the biggest shows of their careers the past 2-3 years. They weren't playing those sized shows in the late 2000s.

 

Not saying they'd sell a ton of records, but I think they'd sell a respectable amount, enough to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard charts.

Would that not be Interscope pushing them? Whereas now they're on PMT, so less funds etc.?

Is this where we speculate a Brand New / KDev tour is happening this fall for LP5? Semi kidding but maybe Citizen would be on it?

 

My guess would be something along the lines of a BN/PUP/Citizen/KDev tour, which would be pretty awesome.

He's talking about a four band bill tour which having posted in the same threads I know @cwhit hates.

Personally I'd be fine with it but for the last couple of years Brand New hardly ever has that many bands play with them.

No need to have a four band set especially if you want an hour and a half of brand new

 

Buying my High and Low tickets now. So extremely stoked on that lineup. Hoping for a regular Brand New show that same weekend too
