Already played Skyrim but what about Oblivion? I really want to play it but I'm afraid it'll just be Skyrim Lite.

Already played Bioshock.

I've never played Dead Space or Mass Effect and this are two I'm also considering. Can you vouch for them?

 

I've been re-playing Shadow of Mordor these past few days. I forgot how killing orcs can be so much fun.

Far Cry 3 is great. Oblivion's great. Dead Space is great. Mass Effect is a great series but the first game is probably a little dated.

Get Dark Souls if you haven't played it.

 

I mean I'm recing Hitman cause I think it's good but I'm just one person. I haven't played Oblivion and I've not really played much DS or ME.

 

In the same boat. No way should I be buying any more games right now but...well...it's Fire Emblem.

 

Hitman is good, but some of the more hardcore fans don't like absolution much.

Sure does! Carcassonne does as well. Both for 360 and BC. BOTH on sale for $2.49 ATM. Wife and I played Ticket last night and it was quite good, obviously not quite the same as TableTop but if you are wanting to play by yourself or something it'll work in a pinch.

 

Get with the times, you pleeb! I've been playing Dark Souls 3 and posting about it on this thread, lame-o! Do you even Dark Souls bro!? (Plus you can't buy the first Dark Souls on the XBOX Store. Only a physical copy.)

Really? I've heard people say that the first is the best one.

I really want to play it, but I'm afraid it's just gonna be Skyrim but in a different location. Aren't all the "groups/guilds" that are in Skyrim in this one too? Plus I loved that Skyrim didn't implement a class system and I don't want to have to play the game a certain way.

 

I lose track of who plays Dark Souls and who doesn't, I just recommend it to everyone.

I think the first Mass Effect is easily the worst of the trilogy and I imagine some of it being a slog to get through now but I think it's worth it for the other two.

Honestly I'd probably recommend skipping Oblivion. I got bored of Skyrim very quickly because it's so similar to Oblivion.

 

I'm pretty sure you can still buy the first Dark Souls digitally as it is BC. Maybe there is a region lock but I've seen it on XBL quite a few times recently.

 

I try to get everyone I know to play the Souls games. Speaking as someone who was formerly a skeptic that didn't believe the hype and thought the games were "unfair," I always use my experience to try and sway doubters to the Cause. I saw the light and lo, it was good. Sadly, I can only show them the Path; they must choose to walk it themselves.

 

Those that are Dark Souls fans looking for a change in scenery should check out the game The Surge. It's from Deck13, the developers who did Lords of the Fallen. Its set in the future and has a sci-fi/post apocalyptic feel to it.

 

Yeah we were talking about that a few pages ago! Looks really good. I have such a huge backlog at this point though that I'll probably be holding off on it.

 

I'm still having trouble getting past the Dancer of the Boreal Valley. Tips?
