I don't think it's music related. It'll be some sort of multimedia "project" or a conspiracy thing. I feel like he's been hyping something up since before any BCR talk.

Honestly at this point I truly don't believe a single thing Tom says. He's always hyping up something and failing to deliver. I wish he would just stop talking, do it and then once it's completed and ready to come out then start talking. It's just a bad running joke at this point and I'm sure him hyping up going into the studio next week has nothing to do with that's being officially released tomorrow.

Did anyone in here buy that blink vinyl box set? Are they all black vinyl or any cool variants?

Seems to be a "like not love" situation for most people

  12. Remember when blink was gonna be on Travis' solo record? BOTO is what I expected. I love it. That is all.

BOTO is a pretty cool song and to me sounds like what +44 would be in 2017, which is not a bad thing by any means.

Did anyone else get a matching turntable mat thrown in with their order? I got a pink Blink smiley logo mat. I was stoked about it haha.

Did a full listen just now, and honestly I'm really disappointed. I think the only songs I see myself coming back to are Good Old Days and 6/8.

Picking Feldman for California was a good call as it got them back in the limelight, but I think it's run its course. Really hope they get someone new for the next one.

  16. I did! I got yellow. Kinda wanted a different color from the vinyl.

I am enjoying these new songs quite a bit. In fact, I'm enjoying them more than OG California for the most part (Cynical is my favorite). I like that they branched out, tried new things, and that the songs are darker sounding.

Parking Lot still blows my mind when I listen to it. It gets me psyched up. Yeah, Mark's verse kills the mood a little, but whatever. I wish Matt sang like he does in this song more often. Damn.

Wildfire reminds me so much more of TOYPAJ rather than Enema/CA and I love it for that reason. It puts me in a great mood like older Blink always did and still does. Rabbit Hole gives me the same feeling too.

The other songs they didn't release (GODs, BOTO, LLF, LTH, and DMA) are fun. They keep things interesting and they execute them well. Long Lost Feeling has the best vocal melody and the chorus to BOTO is so totes mcgoats.

One thing I do notice are the different renditions of 'whoas, ohs, and ahs' being sang. Like in GODs...The last 35 seconds that ends with rhythm guitar, "Oh's and Ah's", and Mark singing 'these are the good old days' over everything.......yeah, I really wish the "Ohs and Ahs" were being played on guitar in the same notes instead.

BTW, the guitar leads in the BOTO chorus is straight Good Mourning Alkaline Trio too. Me likey. Kinda reminds me of This Could Be Love.

Simplest way for me to rank is 1 to 5 on a scale of "skip it" to "love it" I think:
    1 - Parking Lot, Pregnant
    2 - Wildfire
    3 - Don't Mean Anything, Misery
4 - Good Old Days, 6-8, Ocean, BTD Acoustic
5 - Hey I'm Sorry, Long Lost Feeling, Last Train Home

    Really love Feeling and Train.

Just had my first listen. Overall, way better than I was expecting. Even the prerelease songs sounded better while hearing the whole thing. It's not as good as it can be but I like it! I probably won't ever hear BTD acoustic again and I cringed whenever they referenced not growing up but I'm happy to have these new songs

They need another guitar player for their next record.

Bottom of the Ocean is one of the better songs they've written.

Who else thinks the guitars in BOTO sound similar to those in 155?
