This is a war, sober up

Hard to not be impressed by their consistency over such a long period of time (17 years?), and IMO they do it without sounding stale. Really looking forward to this, the new single is pretty strong.

    Constant horror and bone-deep dissatisfaction.

One of the most consistent bands out there, looking forward to their new record.

    Love it!

  6. Cool as usual. Still in the same vein as the stuff they released in the past 6 years. I hope there will be some curveballs on the album as well. Once the newer guitarist came in, I feel like they found their own distinct style, between their classic post hardcore and jumpy metalcore.

  7. Man, when I heard This is How the Wind Shifts I rediscovered my love for Silverstein, but I have not come back to their last album minus the singles and I don't feel this at all. So many bands could do this sound now, Silverstein is better than this.

i haven't really focused on the last few albums. should get back into them, they always did do decently solid punk/hardcore

Should add @parkerxcore link to the article as well. The link provided in the article is for Canadian residents only.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

The closest thing this band has to a misstep is Arrivals and departures and even that has a bunch of real solid tracks. Love this track and Ghost.

I love the artwork! The only artwork I haven't adored is I'm Alive in Everything I Touch.

It kinda reminds me of the last couple ffaf albums with the faster pace and Shane's transitions to more yells as opposed to the screams he used to pull off (I imagine he's lost some of the power behind his screams). I'm impressed with this band's consistency but not really their versatility.

Yeah, it's not like they go and reinvent their sound with each release (which FFAF almost always did), but everything they put out is pretty much a banger. I haven't made up my mind about this new song yet, but I'm pretty excited for the album.

One of the few bands in this genre that I really like. So good.

Love this band, can't wait for the album. I disagree that Shane has lost any power on his screams. I think both his cleans and screams have only gotten better with time.

To me, them not completely abandoning what they do best and sticking to consistent, quality output is admirable. They don't change wildly just for the sake of change. However, they write very good concept albums with depth, and always have new wrinkles musically. Songs like Late on 6th were new territory, and pulled off great.

    Btw, who is FFAF?

Funeral for a Friend, I think.
