you know what, the dems would never wish me a happy thanksgiving. once again the GOP outflanks them from the left.

Damn. Ours tops out at $100K, no matter how many kids you have. Been maxing out my 401k, trying to not go over the line and get fucked on autoimmune treatment.

The hospital might also have a financial assistance/forgiveness program that you may qualify for. If you search the hospital website/billing department you should be able to find info about those programs if they have them.

This is a good point; the teacher can't complain about your kids' ADHD if they're the spending the whole day in the bathroom trying to shit a pint of dried play-doh.

I work from home (Finance/Accounting) full time. I Thought I Could claim expenses on my taxes but I guess the feds say we cannot. I save on wear/tear on car, tolls, gas, etc... Wife (And daughter #3 , who I pay for her car...) are teachers so gone from 7-3. Im working til end of day. In the summer, another story, but for now, and in the past, its been fine. Teams handles everything I need. If I need face to face meetings during budget season, I go in to the office. a few times a year, no big deal.

This wouldn't suck as much if I didn't naively declare at the height of the pandemic "I am never going to have to commute for work again!" and got rid of my car.

It's funny that even Zuckerberg has started a RTO mandate, it's like bitch didn't you say we would all be doing our office jobs within the Metaverse?

We really are going to learn nothing from the pandemic, which also puts to bed the myth that capitalism breeds innovation. Capitalism is more about justifying or selling office space than it is about innovation. Where innovation is good for workers and even productivity but bad for office building leases and control over the workforce it is cut off at the knees.

The only real solid lead I have is from my friend that works for a company that hires 100% remote positions that is a subcontractor for the federal government, but with Vivek and Elon pushing RTO for federal workers who knows if contractors would be affected too. I am Neurodivergent, have social anxiety, and absolutely hate commuting with a passion. Taking away WFH is like taking away one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Picked the worst time to go on a 100% remote WFH job search when like 90% of companies now have returned to the office or are doing hybrid BS. The only stuff I can find is telemarketing and insurance sales. This is coming from me doing WFH stuff for a legit well known major corporation for 5 years. The push to RTO over WFH is really the biggest glaring example of why "capitalism breeds efficiency" is absolute horseshit.
