Just a reminder that Henry Cuellar, who is anti-choice and a transphobe, was primaried by a young, Hispanic woman named Jessica Cisneros in a safe Dem district. She is the daughter of Mexican immigrants, and she worked as an immigration / asylum attorney. She lost in 2020 to Cuellar by 1700 votes. In 2022, she ran again. The Dem establishment knew the race was close, and so they lined up behind Cuellar EVEN AFTER THE DOBBS DRAFT LEAKED. Again, this is an anti-choice Dem in a safe seat. Nancy Pelosi and Jim Clyburn, in particular, were vocal in supporting Cuellar. Cisneros lost by 289 votes.
