A hot take about the album for me is that I don’t LOVE squabble up. It’s fine but honestly the part that takes it down for me is the chorus of just saying squabble up. It doesn’t hit hard, the keyboards sound corny. It feels like a dead zone in an otherwise great banger.

I don't think it's my favorite or his best, but I have a really, really warm place for it in my heart. I remember buying that CD because folks on AP. net were talking about it and having never really heard hip-hop like that before at that point in my life.

It def has some bangers I will be returning too. I think it qualifies for one of the best albums of the year. I do think particularly Wacced out murals will not age well just due to the beef adjacent stuff. Not that stuff is bad, but the rest of the record’s diss related stuff isn’t specific so you can apply it anywhere, where as that song is specifically about the Super Bowl and the beef

It’s just the prices. Like if it was 30-50 bucks for cheap seats to an arena show like it used to be? It would be a no brainer but if you want to go see like any other show during the year and you probably gotta pay for dinner, sitter, parking, drinks, etc. Like it’s a lot to ask of people

Same. jammed it all today and wow it’s such a concise listen. Super listenable but I think he needed a record like this. I think him making a more mainstream record is also a drake diss in a way. Like “let me show him I’m a Pulitzer Prize winner AND a hit maker”
