The more time goes on, the more I think I prefer Black Messiah the most. The variety on it makes it stand apart from Voodoo for me.

I don't think anyone is misrepresenting DAMN, I just think that it came out after two (possibly three depending on who you ask) masterpieces and I think there's a thought that it's lower down on some peoples tastes because of that. Plus there may be a little recency bias with the new one too.

I was late to the Kendrick train. For so long, he didn't click with me until Humble came out + I fell in love with his verse on Never Catch Me by Flying Lotus. Which is why I think TPAB as a whole clicked with me most. Which is also why I like UU as much as I do due to it essentially being an extension of TPAB.

Never voluntarily listened to a Drake song. Even when he was at his peak and everyone loved him, there was always something about him that didn’t sit right with me. His voice was annoying as hell and something about him seemed so weird to me. I have never understood how someone so average as him got so big. One of musics greatest mysteries haha

Not a fan of drill, so that part has fully passed me by. And the only example of “opp” in hip hop I can think of is that naughty by nature song but that’s O.P.P., I assume it’s the same thing? Probably a term I’ve always heard but never really thought about looking up what it means

She’s fucking great. Didn’t know anything about her until I saw a tweet or something mentioning an association with TDE. Checked out this album and loved it straight away. Definitely an album I feel most on here and in the hip hop thread would like.
