I never got into Knocked Loose until I heard Suffocate in the beginning of the year. Crazy that both them and Poppy are neck and neck for my AOTY.

I'm surprised this still didn't debut in the Top 200 this week. It looks like on Spotify the album generated over 20 million total streams, and I know there were a bunch of vinyl options. I don't know when the Spotify Wrapped cut off is/was, but I've played the shit out of this album in the last 10 days. Probably more than any other album this year.

You hear it from a lot of bands of the same age/stature that they're not big on their earlier work. Dude Ranch is my second favourite album by them. But I can see how Mark feels as though it may be unpolished, juvenile and scrappy. Us fans absorb art very differently to those who created it. We don't hear/see the writing sessions, rushed chorus' and relentless in-studio takes. Deryck's book talks about how some of his earlier stuff from Half Hour Of Power and AKNF he's not crazy about, and I just listened to a podcast with Dexter and Noodles about how surprised they are SMASH gets so much love. That being said, Mark's wrong. Dude Ranch is elite.

First announcement for Outbreak Festival 2025 in Manchester!! There's gonna be a separate announcement for the first London edition of Outbreak which will be a outdoor one day festival but Manchester will be the usual 2 day one

Wow I had to take a look for myself, yikes is right lol. St. Louis seems to be selling just as poorly. Like no way there's more than 1,000 tickets sold to each of those shows. By comparison the Brooklyn and NJ shows are doing fairly better. Still plenty of seats left but I'm sure they'll be sold by the summer. Just crazy how a band that just scored a #2 album and have their most successful single in 15 years are struggling with ticket sales like this.

Also odd that Amazon is having some vinyl sales that are only lasting a few hours (but not marking them as lightening deals). Blink 182's Buddha was only 12 bucks at one point but now it's gone. Also saw NFG's Resurrection for $10, not sure if that deal is still live.

Danger Days was such a weird time for them. Similar to Folie a Deux/Pretty Odd in that scene a few years earlier, a lot of the kids who got into them were now getting older and growing out of that style of music. The band, at least in the US, was definitely NOT considered cool and mocked in a lot of circles so I think a lot of people fell off simply due to just getting interested in other music genres. A good portion of the fans that got into them with Three Cheers and Black Parade may have felt a bit turned off by the band daring to embrace a more flamboyant and fun side so it definitely suffered. Still a really good record and I'm glad they put it out.

Yeah if you filter out the VIP package tickets for NYC the floor is gone as well as at least half of the lower bowl. As far as ticket prices I can't speak to all markets, but the NYC tickets ranged from $90 to $550. But those 90 dollar ones are the literal last rows of the worst sections. Most of the upper deck was still around $160.

In the queue for Jack White tickets and this is moving strangely fast. Only 200 people were ahead of me and its a 2,700 cap venue. I thought this would be an underplay but I guess not? EDIT: Ha nevermind! Looks like they already sold all the tickets during the presale.
