This thread bump made me rewatch some favorites. The scrobbles bit will always make me belly laugh.
Some of the stuff on Hushed is their best, but overall it is all over the place.

I think it would severely lessen the impact of the tone of what Reeves is trying to do, and almost minimize its weight to an extent.
I really don't think it'll be that difficult for people to be like, okay this is a different Batman. But maybe i'm expecting more.
I think Part II should reveal whatever villain Batman was dealing with was funded/controlled by the Court thus revelaing them as the main enemies...
