    Can confirm these songs go crazy in a party setting which obviously means they will translate very well live. I’m still obsessed with Wacced Out, also as someone who’s kind of grown towards listening to newer wave/more melodic hip hop as my preference, I’m a huge fan of his story telling and I find Gloria, Heart Pt 6 and Reincarnated all to work so well because of the vintage hip hop feel. This feels like it’s an ode to not just the west coast but the roots of the genre as a whole and it’s very well executed.

    Really enjoyed the vast majority of this. Lost me for a minute or two here and there but overall he hit the mark. Also morale is an incredibly slept on album that is almost unfair to compare to this since it’s so conceptual and heavy thematically where this on first brush seems like a light (as light as Kendrick can be anyway) collection aiming for maximum enjoyment. Morale is almost the opposite in a way lol. Morale almost doesn’t want you to enjoy it, it wants you to hear it and experience it.

Also the exact album I was hoping for, a bit more digestible than his others and a great variety of styles throughout, sounds like he’s having some fun too like he was on collabs with Baby Keem which I also was hoping he’d do
