Albums are slowly starting to be released again This Week: Eidola -- Post-Hardcore (swancore). Band has dialled back the aggression from their last release, but this album is probably the most varied of their career? I've only listened to it once, but I really like it. It seems to offer more than the standard copy-paste of Dance Gavin Dance. Teramaze -- Great hard, soaring, catchy melodic prog. Blood Lemon -- This is interesting. Stoner metal guitars with 90's alt rock vocals and harmonies. Catchy and kind of dreamy. The Maine -- Interesting project where they took an unused track from each album and gave it new life. Hazzerd -- Really fun thrash Sink In -- Darkish, electronic-tinged pop-rock Deus Sabaoth -- Dark, atmospheric black-metal. Doesn't overstay its welcome. Synaptic -- Tech-death Last Week: Cap'n Jazz -- Their LP got the remastered treatment. Still one of my favorite albums. Am I in Trouble? -- Prog-y black-metal where each song's theme corresponds to a color. Obscure Sphinx -- Absolutely wonderful, expansive post-metal Wyatt E. -- Big sounding (TWO drummers!), psychedelic doom PATRIARKH -- Choral black-metal Stick to Your Guns -- Great no-frills metalcore. Maybe my favorite album of their's? The Halo Effect -- Melodeath Paleface Swiss -- Nu-metal deathcore. Super caveman shit (compliment).
