Does anyone have experience downloading music from Usenet? I'm looking for a disc of rare demos from Lucky Boys Confusion, and the download link from this website (Lucky Boys Confusion - Lucky Boys Confusion Download free mp3, flac, music, albums - USmusica.com) takes me to Usenet.

I'm having trouble understanding what to do next (I must be getting old). From what I'm reading, I need to sign up for a service that can access Usenet and then get some soft of "reader" for it. Is there a way to confirm that the disc is actually on there though before I do all of that?

 

It seems Jimmy Eat World released an EP called Are You Listening? digitally for people who bought tickets for their current shows. Does anyone have this or go to one of their recent shows? I went to their show in Minneapolis in December, before they announced it.

 

I bought tickets to the Toronto Jimmy Eat World show opening for Incubus, no mention of that EP, but they're not headlining so it makes sense. However I'd also like to get in on this if anyone has it....

 

I'm interested in getting this as well...supposedly those who bought tickets should've gotten a separate e-mail directly from Ticketmaster, looking something like this:

 

I've been trying to find that EP since the first e-mail was sent out.

 

I just found out about this Run The Jewels 3 b-side. Does any have access to this track?

Yeah, we are gonna have to find the deluxe version with the bonus tracks.

 

One person on Discogs owns the Japanese version with the track. May be worth it to reach out to them and see if they would be willing to share.

I think the 160kbps rip of the IKSSE:3 Demos i have sounds better than this rip however. There's also another rip of the GAIBSIV Demos on reddit by the same guy which sounds better but it's only in mono!

 

I am driving to pick up one of my kids from college in Chicago this weekend, and am planning to visit some Indianapolis record stores on the way up. I am mostly interested in used CDs (indie rock and pop/folk), any suggestions?

 

I have seen that before it's my experience that seems to be a endless cycle. Best to look somewhere else or at least create a dummy email if you try to proceed. Good luck I hope you get what you are looking for

After the release of the full album Guppy, I've been trying to track down some of the early releases by Charly Bliss. I've found the A Lot To Say EP and Heart of Glass (Blondie cover), but I"m still looking for

1. Gigantic (Pixies cover) - some places seem to list this as being on a version of the A Lot to Say EP
2. A nameless EP from 2011, which I accidentally discovered existed due to the Wayback Machine

It looks like they were giving it away in 2011 through bandcamp and it had the following tracks:

4. Some Girls
5. Sleep Talking

There's practically no information on this thing online other than a couple mentions of the track names in some band bios, but I figure if there's anyone out there who knows how to get it, it'll be one of you guys. Thanks in advance for any help
