Went to my record store around 5:30 thinking they wouldn't have anything left - but I only wanted two things and I got the last copies of each.

- Frank Turner - Postive Songs For Negative People (Acoustic)
- Brian Fallon - Georgia

They had a lot of La Dispute there and a few other titles - but I wasn't interested in a lot this year for RSD.

 

Couldn't get to a store today sadly but I made a few online pickups.

Alexisonfire - Dogs Blood - Picture Disc (First Pressing Limited to 500 Copies)
Alexisonfire - Discography - Cassette (Limited to 200 Copies), I hate the idea of cassettes but I have a player in my car so these will get some serious playing time
Helicon Blue - Collection - (Non-RSD Release, Limited and Hand Numbered)

that's a nice haul. did they still have the tour edition of Harmlessness? I've got two weeks until that show.

 

Gotcha. I have the original pressing when it released, just didn't know if they were adding additional b-sides or anything. Thanks for Google searching for me, I suppose I could have handled it, but it seemed like a conversation was taking place.


I had a friend scout for the Circa/MwY split but since it wasn't available, I figured I'd make a stop down at my store tomorrow. Picked up a few on online sales though:

All around had a great day. Despite all the hate RSD has been getting the last couple years, I still really enjoy it!

 

Ended up going this evening after all. Got mwY and Moody Blues #1 (along with Cat Stevens' Tea for the Tillerman for a buck).

Only thing I was really even a little disappointed in not finding was the Star Wars picture disx, but even that I'm not too worked up about

I got Train Wreck and now I really wish I'd gotten Aubergine.

 

IMO, splatters are hit and miss, but I always dig marbles, especially purplish ones.

 

Train Wreck does actually look really good, I'm just not super into splatters and the other one sounds cooler/purple and green are probably two of my favorite colors.

 

Same. I've never been real into splatter variants. If there is another option, I almost always go another direction.

 

Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of Brian Fallon - Georgia. It's a different label, but that Hold You Down release Gaslight did for RSD a few years back had the worst packaging in the world.

 

So, I'm looking to start building up a vinyl collection... I'll of course be looking in record stores, etc., but I was just wondering if anyone had some favorite websites they pick up records from? Doesn't have to be a bargain site, honestly just anywhere you enjoy shopping for vinyl/enjoy supporting.

 

Run For Cover usually has a good stock of distro items and most of their catalog is also great.

 

Oddly enough, I've picked up a few excellently priced albums from Hastings. A lot of the stuff that I have is from my local record store and pre-orders.

 

Amazon is one of the best places to order records from.

 

Bullmoose is good too. Free shipping with all orders $25 or more.

 

yeah you can't go wrong with Bullmoose either.

 

Thirding Bullmoose. Their Maine shop is awesome too if you ever get the chance to visit.

 

I didn't see it on the table but I also didn't know that was a thing. I just asked for a copy of harmlessness and that's what I was given.

After looking it up I hope that it was already sold out or I'd be kind of pissed they didn't give me one seeing as I bought 3 LPs.

 

Looked at all the different suggestions! Found pretty much everything I am looking for at this moment... Time to do some price comparisons... Thanks everyone! Much help!
