None of the exclusives did much for me, but the shop was down my street and kinda off the grid so there weren't any lines or anything. Super glad I stopped by and poked around. Hope everyone found what they were lookin' for!

 

I grabbed one of those posters too, they are fucking sweet

 

Wasn't planning on it at all but now I'm thinking I might stop into a shop later if I can tear myself away from basketball for long enough.

Was hoping for Soviet Kitsch by Regina Spektor and Field Rexx by Blitzen Trapper but I don't think they had them.

 

gave in and got the S. Carey/Low split, Star Wars 10", and BMTH Maida Vale 7".
still had lots at the local shop and I wandered in at noon.

 

thought about the circa/mwY split, but I'm only really interested in the new version of rainbow signs and I'm sure it'll be online before too long.
also came across The Sword's John the Revelator 7", which I did not know existed.

 

I hate record store day. Everything I always want is gone by the time I get into the store, and I always wait in line before hours. Probably will never wait in line again.

 

anyone wanna pick up that mewithoutYou "Ten Stories" repress for me if they see it? i'll paypal you the $$+shipping if you can get that for me!! I wanna see that new packaging so bad but it wasn't available near me

 

RSD has always felt like it benefits people who actually have the time to wait outside overnight. I've always missed out on everything I wanted.

Hope I can snag something online if there's any leftovers.

 

Didn't wait in line and got to my local store 20 minutes after they opened.

 

Just found out about the acoustic Frank Turner record and I'm pretty bummed I'm at work now. RSD is a cruel witch that always brings me back for more hurt.

 

fwiw, the Ten Stories is an RSD first, so it'll be available other places soon.

Bummed I missed out on Pinback since I didn't get up early, but I'm gonna try to get it on Monday when Bull Moose puts up their leftovers (I was able to get everything I missed out on from them last year). Probably would've picked up Tha Carter II if it hadn't been $50 haha

 

What stores are you guys going to that there are people waiting overnight? I go to a pretty popular one but not huge. They said they were opening up at 9 today, we got there at around 7:45 and they started letting people in one at a time at around 8:10. We were in and out by 9:15.

 

Nothing even interested me THAT much this RSD.

The only thing I was curious about is that LA Dispute 12". What does that contain?
