I'm bad at very complex RPGs like that. I play Fire Emblem on Phoenix/Easy. I wonder if D5 has comparable difficulty settings, because it looks neat.

 

D5 is a lot of fun and something that even though I have for PS4, I'd consider buying for Switch since it's perfect for the system.

There's no difficulty settings like other games, but you do unlock a "cheat shop" where you can alter things like your XP rate, enemy levels, HP/Mana, money rate etc. No easy difficulty settings and the cheat shop might be a big overwhelming and slow to unlock/fully use to treat as a difficulty settings so it might not be that accessible of a game if you want something on the level of FE on easy, difficulty-wise.

 

Yeah I was afraid of that. I get stuck too often in games like that so I'll have to get it on a sale.

yeah Disgaea is ridiculously grindy. Max level is 9999 and there's a reboot a character option. I love how much they emphasize on broken/OP game mechanics and just went all out on it. Just some:

- You can throw an enemy to another tile with another enemy on it and the outcome is just one enemy with their levels added. Perfect for levelling up as well.
- You can host hearings to pass a law (better items in shops for example), and you bribe the senators to get their vote. If that doesn't work and the law isn't passed, there is an option to fight all those who opposed and you can beat them into changing their decision provided you are strong enough
- Certain character types can transform into OP weapons that other friendlies can use.
- You can stack characters on top of each other (by carrying them) and you can eventually get to a point where all your characters are just stacked in one tile, and something called a "tower attack"

I know I missed the E3 discussion earlier this morning but I think literally the only thing I'm dying for is news on whatever From is currently working on. Everything else is just extra.

 

I'm looking forward to everything e3 has to offer. I'm purposefully not applying for jobs yet because I don't want to get one before e3 so I can just watch everything and soak it in.

 

I think Bloodborne 2 is a big possibility

 

I totally get you on that one. My favorite thing to do used to be to order a crapload of take-out (like, enough for lunch and dinner) and stay in the entire first day to watch all the conferences/coverage. It was my yearly ritual and it was great. Had to stop doing it year before last because of work, though. Luckily, this year, EA is on Saturday and Microsoft/Bethesda are on Sunday instead (only Ubisoft and Sony are still doing Monday) so I'm excited to be able to sort-of do it again.

 

I'm honestly just hoping for any news of anything. I don't even care what it is lol.

 

I still don't see a Bloodborne 2 being very interesting or really making much sense contextually. What would it be, just another hunter goes to a different version of Yarnham?

I really hope they either make something completely different or do a whole new Soulsesque game with a new vibe/story.

 

Luckily I always seem to be unemployed just in time for e3, haha.

 

I used to just take the day off back when I had a job where I could do that (i.e. simply getting someone to cover a shift waiting tables).

 

Sony and From will want to reuse that IP though so they'll figure it out

 

I just think that's a lame way to make games and I'd be disappointed if they did. It'll still probably be the best game of whatever year it came out but still, be original guys...

 

Yeah but it also pays the bills. Most new IPs don't sell enough so if one does they have to reuse it.

 

I'm sure if they made another Soulslike and slapped "from the makers of Bloodborne/Dark Souls" in the trailer it would sell just as well, if not better.

If they do Bloodborne 2 it'll either be too much like the original which would lose the impact of being fresh and exciting or it'll be completely different which would make the name Bloodborne 2 pointless.

I mean if Miyazaki and From have an idea they want to do with it then I'd trust them and I'm sure it would be fabulous but if theyre just doing it to capitalise on the name that would be lame.

 

Ive played more paladins in the past week than I have overwatch and overwatch was the one that had an event.

I didn't expect this.

 

My yearly ritual is watching GB watch E3

 

I liked watching Funhaus watch E3 last year, personally, but after the fact. I like to watch the conferences without commentary.

 

Last year with Easy Allies was perfect. I can't wait to do it again this year.
