Actually found this post just to tell you that I for whatever reason started listening to a bunch of his stuff tonight after hearing Beautiful Soul... he really does have some great songs!

 

Their new song "Mad at You" is ridiculously catchy.

Rae Sremmurd is pretty entertaining

 

I think taylor swift is a terrible performer. The performances people often hold up as being great are usually just adequate. Her stage mannerisms are extremely affected. It looks like she grew up watching videos of popstars and tries to emulate them but fails. I also hate her bad dancing teenager singing into a hairbrush shtick. I get that people like her bad dancing and think it's relatable and cute, but I think only a white artist could be so treasured for their mediocrity and be so successful for it. Her vocals are also impacted by the bad dancing. She is way way better with her piano or guitar

I'm sure her shows are fun but her performances are hard to get through without cringing

 

I'm not I've ever even listened to a note of Kanye's music. I'm sure I must have heard something somewhere but I've never put any on.

Underoath's records before Spencer joined is easily their worst material
letlive have and always will be a poor man's glassjaw

 

Feel like it's a more unpopular opinion to think letlive. are way better than Glassjaw.

 

Fake History showed potential but I didn't feel like going back to TBB after a while. I liked a couple of songs but like mostly everyone else said, the production wasn't good. I'll take a listen to the new album but I'm not as excited as I would have been a couple of years ago haha.

 

That's not in any way an unpopular opinion.

 

I hate the weird circlejerk that 4chan and reddit have for them but imo they do make generally above average music. Money Store in particular is superb.

 

Most pop punk music is shit.

 

I was mostly listening to stuff from his third album Departure.

 

Yeah! That's been my long term favorite. I think In Technicolor is better, but I have such a long history with Departure. My Baby, Relapse, Runnin, It's Over, Freaky, so many jams.

 

The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is incredibly overrated. It is half brilliant, half just sort of average.
