I know liberals are going to keep to their line of "should have voted for Hillary" and if by some ungodly method the dems get punched left enough to field Bernie, I'd just like it to be known that no leftist is going to vote for Bernie either unless he straight up says "Fuck Israel." during a debate and formally supports a single Palestinian state.

you have to think of it as being a fan of a band when they are unknown underrated and you wish that they were successful but then you start hearing them on the radio and they get big now everybody likes them which makes them sell-outs and you no longer support them because they are so popular they must be bad now.

I could have sworn I've seen this movie before. A figure that has long been a part of government seeks office. They reject the left-wing, think their victory in the preceding stages means the left is irrelevant and should be crushed, and distances itself by the far right only by appeals to the status quo and a slew of policies that are widely unpopular. I saw that movie. A lot of decent to very good reasons were put forward/offered. The left just said "not uh" and "there won't be much difference between you and the other guy anyway".

And as I've said a billion times, they did, but even if none of those countless reasons were enough, if the differences between the policies weren't enough, if no one believed the progressive policies that were there would be followed through on, if for some reason we're pretending oh-so-many of the very popular policies weren't popular, even if they didn't go far enough, or the list wasn't far long enough ... fine. Then there's still one reason sitting right there.

And we now know why my argument for taking that reason was made so strongly.
