My Star Wars hill to die upon: it is easily the worst Star Wars film, but it's also not far off the mark of the general quality of the series, which is to say, it's not Empire Strikes Back, but the rest of them aren't either.

yeah there are people who do Disney parks as a hobby, there are podcasts about the parks, it's crazy

 

I probably should've warned you that Disney is shockingly expensive. Most times they hide the fact it's probably cheaper to buy an annual pass as opposed to say three day tickets depending on the parks.

 

Like I still have my Anakin poster from 1999 and I have a soft spot for it since it was the first one I saw in theaters but man, the movie is a chore to sit through at times. Especially all the kid Anakin scenes when he's not in a podracer.

 

Disney is so expensive, like $100s of dollars just to get in the park

 

AOTC is the worst of them, they're all good though

Clone Wars is a great series if you like the prequels.

 

The most reasonable one I've seen is for $1,300 which isn't horrible, just gotta really start saving now.

 

Haha, I got lucky and got to see the original trilogy in a true IMAX (like before when only museums had it for documentaries and stuff) setting before Ep 1 came out. I think I often get nostalgia for the pod race, certainly. I also think some of the visual world building of Naboo is fantastic. But I also don't hate Jar Jar and now continue to root for him to have actually been the Phantom Menace, s/o to that reddit theory.

 

That's a months rent. If I spent that on a pass, I'm living there for a month

 

Disney should bring back podracing in some form, it was such a cool concept that never really was explored much.

 

Which hotel resort does that one rope you into? If you can, try to get Coronado Springs.

I grew up an hour from DisneyWorld.

 

They actually had this huge pod-racing arcade game at DisneyQuest in Downtown Disney (which I think has been rebranded Disney Springs)... suddenly occurs to me you're probably talking about the movies.
