that's a pretty unpopular opinion, and while it's not my favorite kendrick song, i think i still like it way more than most people.

 

i never went past sing about me on GKMC, didn't like the last two songs at all

 

compton is extremely boring but i cannot imagine taking the trouble to go through good kid and skipping real. just what the fuck!

Okay Real isn't my favorite Kendrick song; that might go to Sing About Me, but still. It's high up there.

GKMC is such an amazing album. Might be my favorite Kendrick record lyrically, though it's still early to say since DAMN's release, which I haven't stopped listening to since it came out.

 

GKMC gets graded on a scale in the context of Kendrick's career that followed, but it was far and away the best hip hop album of that year with very little competition

 

I agree with that and now Damn and TPAB just seem like way better executions of Kendrick's sound

 

Yeah it's my least favorite of the three in 2017 but honestly in 2012 the only other rap album that I think held a candle to GKMC was Finally Rich

 

That's not really true tho. RAP Music and Blue Chips were better tapes, and that's just glossing over what I still have in my iTunes

I can't remember the last time I skipped any song on any album. When I put an album on, I always listen in full...that said, I listen to my iPod on shuffle (entire music library, not an album on shuffle) a lot in my car, but when I do decide to put on an entire album, I ain't skipping any songs.

This has officially surpassed More Life in album sales. Expected the hit between 560k-600k on the sps chart. Pretty wild, that's almost double what To Pimp a Butterfly did.

 

Really respect how thought out all of his responses are. He's so calculated with everything he says, both in his music and with the media.
