man, that reminds me of my favorite bad ppv theme

Ryan Martinie (bass) is a fucking beast. Seriously, like Les Claypool amounts of insanity. Saw them live in 2004. Just stared at him the whole time.

But really, that doesn't say much when they haven't put out a decent record in 15 years.

IMO, nothing will top the "Deadly Games" theme for Survivor Series '99.

 

I remember around the time LD50 came out, they talked about how their music was written using math. Numbers corresponded with placement of lyrics and what not. It worked really well with the jazz fusion they were going with. I don't remember a whole lot about it, but felt like it justified my liking that album.

At this point though, a lot of bands have done the jazz fusion stuff a lot better.

Their guitarist was also big on the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. If I remember correctly from a DVD, he used mathematical elements from that in the writing.
