seriously though, folks, this is a victory that deserves to be celebrated due to the tireless work of some great teams such as Sleeping Giants and the women who came forward and represented them. but, it's individual. all we know is that given enough public pressure (translated to financial squeeze), corporations will sometimes behave ethically, several decades after they ought to have. momentum needs to be maintained to really make inroads.

 

i can't believe we've come up with new ways to make fruit more expensive and less healthy. like. an apple is literally a self-contained set of nutrients, some of which are lost upon juicing, that costs less than a dollar.

The fact that I can't immediately dismiss this as ridiculous is, just, unbelievably depressing.

 

Are juicers a viable thing to own? I honestly can't recall many people who use one or continue to use it after the initial purchase.

I know a few people that like them. For like carrots and weird smoothies I guess? I just use a blender if I'm ever feeling a smoothie though, and at least an expensive blender can do more shit (and paying for weekly packs of the juice shit when you can go buy fruit or frozen fruit seems like something I'd see on a parody future sci-fi show). Then again some people drink that Soylant stuff too.
