I don't think anybody would even try to debate that blink has been better than Green Day live at any point lol.

I really like GD, but I was that kid that couldn't believe people thought Green Day was better... now I'm that man that can't believe people think Green Day is better.
I don't think any GD album holds a candle to Untitled. Plus I thought blink had a better evolution and experimented more than Green Day. I do think GD are great musicians and performers, but I like blinks songs more.

Lol Blink has not evolved or experimented more than Green Day, that is flat out wrong.

I mean... it's not quite all subjective haha. Billie Joe is a better guitar player than Tom, and much better vocalist than Tom or Mark. Blink is great at a lot of things, it's okay to acknowledge that, Travis aside, technical musicianship and live performance aren't among them.

See it is. I can agree with you on Tom but I actually prefer Marks voice to Billies any day. That's my preference.

That's a preference and that's totally fine. I love Mark's voice. But a voice does have range and strength and dynamics, and Billie Joe just flat out has more of all of that than Mark. I love what Mark does, but he just literally couldn't not do what Billie Joe does. Especially live.

Green Day does not have only 3 good albums. That's flat out false haha

It's an odd comparison anyway. The more interesting, and closer, contest would be Blink vs. NFG.

I haven't seen Green Day live so I cannot comment on live performances. Billie may have more, In fact I'll give you that one. But to the individual ear one can be chosen over the other.

Blink and NFG are definitely closer musically to be compared

6/8 coincidentally is what I give blink for good albums (no to DED and I can't in good conscience say Cheshire Cat is good as a whole. Neighborhoods squeaks by with a yes for me lol)

My gut says NFG over Blink, though I'd have to think about it more.

I don't necessarily think Green Day has aged well enough for everyone to put them on such a higher pedestal than blink. Dookie is a classic, Nimrod and Warning are great (for the most part) and AI is ok. I always had them second in line to blink as my favorite band growing up.

They will certainly be looked backed on as the better, more influential band compared to blink but I really don't see that big of a gap and they're easily comparable.

I have select Green Day songs still on my phone, I have the majority of blink songs from Buddha to TOYPAJ on there.

Blink and NFG isn't even close to a contest for me. NFG isn't even a top ten for me now, probably not even top 15. They were probably 4th behind Trio, blink and Face To Face through Catalyst. Their last four albums I listened to a lot for a few weeks and practically never touched them again (haven't heard the new one yet but I'm hopeful I love it)

New Found Glory is fine, I enjoy a lot of their stuff and they wrote great melodies. The most interesting/best pop punk band is Saves the Day simply for SWYA. Tracing their evolution from Can't Slow Down through SWYA to what they're doing now is fascinating. I'm not in love with anything post SWYA but Sound the Alarm has some good songs and Chris is a fantastic songwriter.

Insomniac gets disrespected way too much, that album is so good.

But NFG/Blink would be close for me. I prefer Untitled over every NFG album, but after that it gets tough
