Some own goal by Sven Bender earlier. Hopefully it doesn't prove to be too costly. I expect the 2nd leg to be just as free-scoring as tonight. both teams seem inclined to playing that way.

It was obvious that yesterdays event had a huge impact on the way the Dortmund players were playing. They could never keep their minds completely focused on the game (understandably).

 

As for the Bayern-Real game: We played a great first half, should have been up at least 2-0 (the penalty was questionable but there were other great chances). Then in the second half we conceded way too early. But I think the real turning point was the scene that lead to the first yellow for Martínez. He unnecessarily lost the ball in the midfield and had to make up for it with the tactical foul. Which eventually lead to him getting send off. The rest of the game was defending and trying to not condede another goal. Which didn't quite work out completely.
I also think Lewas injury had a major impact on the way Bayern were playing. Müller just isn't a real striker, he excels when he plays behind the striker. He never got into the game today.
Hopefully Lewa is fit for the second leg, then I can see us still advancing.

Would have thought that United might throw their hat into the ring for Lukaku. They've hardly been nervous about splashing the cash in recent seasons.

Mourinho tho. If Mou hadn't turfed him out already I would genuinely have been shocked if we weren't in for him. Seems a perfect Mourinho striker, but with some work still left to do. But I don't think we will be in for him due to Mourinho (and no champions league)

 

Apparently we have offered Sanchez 300k P/W, as if he's even going to consider signing that. Also Wenger has reportedly told staff at the training ground that he wants to stay. This club and the fucking state of it is tragic.
