Thanks for explaining this. I was seeing a lot on social media about it and didn't understand.

I finally got caught up on Superman and Action Comics. I really enjoyed the Superman Reborn crossover. I wish that Gleason was given the chance to draw all the issues, but that is just the nature of a multi-book crossover, I suppose. Now that the Clark mystery is wrapped up and the timelines have apparently coalesced, I look forward to some more "traditional" Superman stories.

Additionally, I am 3 issues into "I Am Bane." Really awesome thus far.

While Rebirth has really been a home run for me when it comes to the Big 3, I am anxiously awaiting news of the JSA, Legion, or any number of DC concepts that have been absent since the relaunch.

I am curious to hear more about Green Valley. I was thinking of buying the first issue.

It's something you want to know nothing about besides that it starts off as epic fantasy and starts to get....outrageous. As far as I can tell it's pretty damn original. The first issue is great but not the best representation of what it's going to be, since there are so many twists and turns. But for real, don't read too much about it, ha.

Does anyone here ever get the Lootcrate boxes? Saw the they have some Batman and Jessica Jones stuff this month I think. Also, I got accepted to have them as a sponsor for Welcome To Geekdom starting next week. So I have a link and 10% off code for anyone who wants that a week early hah.

To update the Adrian Syaf saga, Marvel has terminated his contract.

Dude's careeer in mainstream comics is probably over.

I just keep trying to figure out what he hoped to accomplish by putting that shit in there in the first place. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

My guess is he didn't think it was going to really accomplish anything. It was most likely just a selfish impulse. And he clearly miscalculated the likelihood that someone would discover it and the magnitude of the repercussions if discovered.

In the age of the internets, I just don't buy that he thought it that wouldn't be noticed. Maybe I'm wrong and he is just the idiot he appears to be though...

I mean, the references were fairly obscure and related to a local Indonesian dispute. I think he assumed some locals would catch on. But I doubt he anticipated it becoming a news story in the American comics press.

I'm sure he includes references to stuff in his books all of the time. All artists do. He probably didn't think too much about it, honestly.

If he were trying to make a more grand statement, he would have spoken out more once it was uncovered, I'd expect.

But man, those editors must be pissed. That has to suck. You never think to proof art for opaque references to Indonesian politics, you know?

Picked up 3 weeks of pull list today, got to read 3 issues so far.

Finally read the whole final issue of Spider-Woman. Fantastic series that deserves all the love. Wonderful, charming finale. Jess and Roger are so cute. I'm gonna really miss getting my monthly Jess fix. She's low key one of my favorite comic book characters ever.

Avengers #6 was fun. More delightful Del Mundo art. Loved this weird time-traveling arc, but I'm ready for what Waid has coming up next (which I believe is the Phil Noto story w/ Doom Iron Man).

Latest issue of ASM: Renew Your Vows was the one bringing in the X-Men, styled after the 90s. Fun! As someone who always hated the Logan+Jean 'ship, I'm not happy with them being a couple here instead of Jean & Scott. Otherwise a really charming issue, though. Neat Civil War reference. I hope next issue has Wolverine and Spidey fighting side-by-side.

Picked up Black Panther & The Crew so I can review it. The new comic shop I'll probably be going to feels so much further than the one that closed down haha. I'll probably be limiting my comics purchasing still for now.

This Miles Morales stuff has such great art and probably the best fill in artists I've seen. It's super consistent visually despite having like 3/4 artists on it already. Can't think of another time I've seen that.

Such great artists, especially Sara Pichelli and David Marquez. The latter is collaborating with Bendis on a Defenders series, which could be cool.

    Read a few more issues.

Loved Black Panther & the Crew. If I'm not gonna get a Storm solo series again any time soon, a street-level series that prominently features her will scratch that itch quite nicely.

Jessica Jones #7 was decent, though Jessica and Luke kinda working things out, then kinda not, was such a bummer. I hope this gets resolved soon. The Maria Hill story could be cool.

Checked out the first issue of X-Men: Blue and dug it, though dunno if I'll stick with it for a whole arc or not. The teaser in the back showing classic Generation X and the future Brotherhood from Bendis' run is interesting; wonder if there'll be some time travel or something at some point. I'm almost certain that Wolverine character is Ultimate James Hudson, Ultimate Wolverine's son, which is random, but why not?

Rucka leaving Wonder Woman at issue 25. His run has been great but I'm excited for a new team. From what I can see the new team has not been announced yet.

You know, the Rucka run on WW from around Infinite Crisis was probably my favorite WW run outside of George Perez's. And while I think the run so far has been good, I can't help but be a little disappointed when compared to his previous run.

But I will be sad to see him go. I hope they have someone awesome lined up.
