I simply think that the songs on AB/AP are worse than on other albums. Regardless of genre, I just don't enjoy the album that much, and straight up HATE the title track

 

Anyone heard anything about a new album by them? It's been about two years since the last one came out and I'm assuming there should be a new one coming out at some point this year.

 

These days I even lean toward SRAR being their best, with Folie right behind it and Infinity after that.

 

Folie > SRAR > AB/AP > Infinity > FUCT > TTTYG

TTTYG > FUCT > SR&R > FAD > IOH > AB/AP

TTTYG=FUTCT>FAD>SRAR>IOH>AB/AP

 

They have progressively gotten worse so start with TTTYG and then forward in that order to the point where they do a song with the I Dream of Genie theme and pass it off.

 

I disagree so much that they have progressively gotten worse. They are clearly better musicians, songwriters, and people than they were when TTTYG was written/recorded. That album does not hold up for me, and even FUTCT is far from perfect.

 

It's so crazy to me to see how many people haven't cared for the progression of Fall Out Boy. I think they have done nothing but gotten better with each album aside from Folie. That's still the best album to date in my opinion.

It's got some of their best songs (Hum, Don't You Know, Afterlife of the Party) but also some of their worst.

 

FAD>IOH>SRAR>FUCT>TTYG>AB/AP

 

weird, those are some of my least favorites on there hahaha

the bang the doldrums to you're crashing but you're no wave stretch is one of the best stretches late in a "pop" album i can remember. and the take over the break's over is maybe their best song

I go back and forth between them all the time, both are just so good

 

it's hard to get progressively worse when they didn't start out well at all. they peaked about halfway through and then moved in a different direction that you can't really compare to the rest of their stuff

 

No bands ever get worse, Weezer was always gr8

 

cork tree, folie, and infinity are the only albums of theirs i really like.

 

I wonder if they went the Walker/Sinclair production route with this album, but I have a feeling they mixed it up a bit.
