I asked Scott in an AMA about that and he basically said TJ is hard to book and he just gave up, but they're still friendly.

I love TJ but I can't imagine him really working on CBB. He tends to steamroll/derail most things he's on

It'll probably never happen again but I love the TJ, Pete Holmes and Jeff Garlin eps of DLM

I love Top Five, personally. Feel like it kinda got lost in the shuffle.

It was (excuse the pun) in my top 5 of that year lol.

Yeah Chris Rock is definitely one of those comedians whose stand-up was so good that it overcame his almost uniformly lackluster* film career. He's made better movies more recently, ones that he had pretty much full creative control over (like Top Five), but his talent on stage is beyond reproach. Can't wait for his Netflix special.

*except Head of State, that all-time classic of the silver screen.

Just listened to episode 1 of MBMBAM - It was pretty good. I'm ready to dive in further, but I'm wondering if I really want to drive through 300+ episodes.

Can I just jump to the most recent episodes, or is there context I'll miss? Are there a handful of episodes that are standouts, or provide the necessary context to just start listening to the current stuff?

  9. Top Five is great

  10. The MBMMBAM show on Seeso was so good that I watched it twice during my free trial. Running out of that and Monster Factory has left me with a definite need for more McElroy content (aside from their game overviews on Polygon), so I'm thinking about starting Adventure Zone. Anyone else listen to it?

Also, HIGHLY recommend their Touch the Skyrim series on Youtube if you're a fan of Monster Factory. Griffin basically adds as many mods as possible to the game and tries to break it, haha. I'm not even a video game guy, but they kill me.

  11. just watched it, hahahaha that was so good

I haven't listened to TAZ, but it seems like everything the McElroys are involved with is good so it's at least got to be worth a shot. I was planning on listening to it once I caught up on MBMBAM (so maybe early 2020)

The Adventure Zone is hilarious and eventually gets genuinely compelling and investing. It's maybe my favorite podcast.

In terms of more McElroy content, Griffin and Nick playing Sonic Dreams was one of the most confusing, strange, and hilarious things I watched recently, knowing nothing about what Sonic Dreams was.

I've seen other Sonic Dreams videos and knowing the Sonic fandom, I still don't know if it's for real

I really wish Chris Rock came to DC on this tour, I would have loved to see him.

Does anyone know what Bo's surprise set opening for him was like? I'm super curious. Did he just do old songs? And if he did how did Rock's audience react

Of course there's a new HH. Those guys are jokesters who always joke about ending the podcast. I was never worried.

This tour is insanely hush hush. I'm not hearing anything about it. The only reason I know about the surprise openers is because Rock has been posting pictures with the comedians afterward. Last night, it was Dave Attell. My expectations are so high for the opener at my show, that I'm bound to feel really let down.

At this point, even if HH has a big finale and stops releasing new episodes, I still won't know if the show is actually over or if it's a bit
