Mario Party 10 is as bad as people say. Why do I have to use a controller from a previous generation of console in order to play?

 

I really want at least one of those classic Link attires, but paying 30-40$ for an amiibo seems steep just for that haha. Do they plan on re-stocking these?

You can make your own if you have an android device or a datel powersaves for amiibo. I used a power tag to get the fierce deity armor (haven't got the sword yet). I'm still no match for the Lynel, but I think it's because I'm terrible at defense.

 

I bought one from a guy for the Fierce Deity Armor set and it works great. So far I got the sword, mask, and chest piece.

 

I kept getting multiple chest pieces and was hoping they'd sell for a lot more. Nope

 

So what did you guys name your horses?

Giant - Drogon
Royal White - Shadowfax

I also have found an amazing one from the wild with stats the same as the royal white, but one less stamina. His name is Brego.

 

Wild Black Horse - Windom
Royal White - Annie
Giant - Coop

 

Main horse - Ampersand (from Y)
Giant horse - Lil Mayne (Horsey F Baby)

I've yet to capture Bojack and Lil Sebastian, but I'll get there. I also had a horse named Spirit that I gave away to a side quest (tbh I wasn't feeling it so good riddance)

 

I don't even really use my horses often. I named one "Horse" and other is Epona

 

I have a white horse named Falcor, but I only ever use Epona. I've definitely noticed myself using a horse a lot less often than I did at first. It's a bit of a hinderance when you just want to explore.

 

Reminds me of a friend who literally named her dogs Doggie. Whenever she called out there were like at least 3 animals that responded.

 

Also nobody's planning to tame a horse named Agro? I'll get on it.

Horses are basically useless to me. With teleporting, Revali's Gale, Paragliding, climbing gear, and tons of stamina. You don't need them at all.

 

I found the Rito area really disappointing...it's like they ran out of time to work on it. There was no story to to it whatsoever compared to the other 3 divine beasts and barely any prep before getting right into the beast. On top of that, both the living and ghost bird dudes act like total wieners.

 

Updated to 1.1.2 on Switch. wish I knew what the improvements were

 

Finally, after taking my sweet time since launch, finshed the first divine beast. Then I took down that Lynel even though it took all my food and weapons to do so. Was feeling invincible then got to the area where there's the flying guardians and noped the hell out of there

 

Wandering around the north west of the map and I feel like I'm travelling beyond the wall and I should be on the lookout for some white walkers. Also, I found a bear to get me around!

 

Finally gonna get to play this tonight!!!!!!

 

Mario Party 10 is actually a lot of fun of you have a big(ish) group of friends and take turns playing Bowser Mode. I understand that's a decent amount of concessions but trust me.

 

I'm way behind, but I've been waiting a full month to contribute to this conversation. Here are my first thoughts:

So I haven't done a shrine since I left the Great Plateau. I've just been intent on exploring and using shrines as checkpoints so they're there when I need to power up. The villages are amazing, especially Hateno. I just now got to Zora's Domain with only three hearts and traveling here was so intense. I don't know how to tell this prince guy who's so confident in my skills that I can barely kill a bokoblin. I'm at the point where I need to get some skills, but I've enjoyed traveling stealthily. Because I have so few skills and health, it makes every journey so intense. I can honestly say a game has never filled me with so much fear and excitement because it's very plausible that whatever is over the crest of the hill can and will kill me.

Scariest moment for me so far was walking along a trail and running into a really kind looking guy, before he suddenly revealed himself to be part of the Niga Clan. Freaked me out so much I warped out of there like a little girl. I learned then that as a general rule it's safer to stay off the main path.

 

That's not actualy true though in my experience, at least once you learn how to spot those guys. Also, a lot of people don't use the roads at all, but I think they should because that's how you meet most of the NPCs.
