There's absolutely a line when it comes to separating art from artist and in this case it was clearly crossed

 

What's funny is the arrogance of people who think that the majority of humanity hasn't already heard the "separating the art from the artist" argument a million times over and have realized that just maybe it's not an actual doctrine or anything

I'm way late, but this is very true. Also expensive and difficult to schedule.

 

Just generally, discussions about art vs the artist are frustrating cause lbr it's often a male artist who has perpetrated violence against women and then men have this discussion about how they can separate it just fine and I'm like

Never understood the "separate art from artist" ideology. If someone's a shitty person, that's reflected in their art as not genuine, IMO.

 

everyones got their own line to draw. if you judge someone for their line not being as lenient as yours you just come off as apologetic to the transgressions of said artists. in the case of radke that includes domestic violence and literally throwing mic stands into crowds and hurting fans.

My problem with this is that "shitty person" pretty much means whatever you want it to mean, which ultimately makes it kinda meaningless

 

Who are like 16 years old most of us liked bad shit when we were teenagers finding our taste that doesn't mean they deserve to have a heavy piece of metal tossed at them I'm pretty sure one of the people who got hit like had to get stitches

Again, these are young teenagers 16 is just averge really some are even younger. The ones 18 and up sure fuck them don't think I'd advocate physical retaliation against them but I'm not expecting people 16 and under to have the most sound moral compass or comprehension of these issues. I'm not defending their defending radke but I'm also saying they probably don't deserve the brunt end of a metal mic stand to the face

 

So, 18 and up fuck 'em, 16 and under get a pass. What about the 17 year olds?
