I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

  2. I think The Belko Experiement might be the best worst movie I've ever seen. So ridiculously stupid, but our theater had a blast laughing at it. And just FYI, the sexual part isn't what someone referenced it as before (nothing is forced and nothing is graphic). It's like, three lines of dialogue maybe.

Also finally picked up House from the $5 bin at Walmart and had a blast with that one as well. It was the perfect marriage of 80s horror-comedy and campy practical effects with an ending that goes much deeper and is more thoughtful than the rest of the film, but still somehow manages to work. Would recommend.

I'm really bummed that the consensus on Belko Experiment isn't a good one. The premise hits all of my buttons and I was hoping it would be great. I'm still going to watch it, of course, and see what I think but I'm going to wait until it hits home video

  4. It's entertaining to say the least and I wouldn't necessarily discourage anyone from checking it out. It was certainly worth the price of admission ($3.99).

I wish the price of admission was only 3.99 here

  6. Cinemark is running a Spring promotion here, so regular admission is just $5.99 now and the usual $5 on Tuesdays is now $3.99. So as far as movies I've wanted to see in the past two or three months, I haven't missed a single one! Haha

they still get me on popcorn though

Gotta smuggle in your own sir. Movie popcorn is like store bought greeting cards - it's all a scam!

Here you can usually get $5 admission at Studio Movie Grill with a Groupon

    Don't get popcorn it's a racket

Sadly, concession stands is what makes the theater money. They get very little of actual box office revenue

  11. I'm a sucker, I know. It's just irresistible once that smell hits you and too be fair, I often use it as "good time" insurance if I'm seeing a movie that I don't think will be particularly good.

  12. Damn I'd settle for this

I used to work somewhere that made free popcorn. We also had a movie theater in the building. People would go to the theater and pay for the popcorn and then hang out in my dept where it's FREE. They claimed it was better there but it was literally the same lol.

I feel bad for those of you not watching Bates Motel in it's final season.

    Some highlights:

-The preservation of Norma's body in the basement.
-Seeing Norman completely dressed/acting like Norma.
-Norman blacks out as Norma, goes to gay/cross dressing bar and gets fucked.
-Dylan witnessing Norman transform into Norma from one second to another.
-Of course, the recreation of the Marion Crane murder, but involving a guy this time.

Really good stuff happening, 3 episodes left.

My how that show has changed since the last time I watched it, which was Season 3, I think? Looks like I will need to finish it out.

I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons, 4 wasn't very good at all, well there was the Romero/Norman feud which was decent.

Also, Chick (the weird dude who lived in the woods near Dylan and the weed cabin, lives with Norman in the big house for a couple of episodes. He's fully aware of Norman and his mother's body but is willing to keep the secret.

Oh, 2 years has passed since season 4 finale and the season 5 premier.

The only downside to the season so far, but I think is over now, was Rhianna as Marion. She's simply not a good actress.

What's your guys most anticipated? I don't know when it'll be out, but I'm so excited for Creep 2

Honestly, I don't even know what's coming out in the horror world. There hasn't been anything really great within the past couple of years. I've seen some really decent stuff within that time, but nothing that stood out, The Witch was my only exception.

    Stephen King's It, easily.

I've been waiting for ever forever for this, so I also have very high chances of being let down as well.

It Comes At Night is also up there for me.

I have a feeling It Comes At Night will be this year's It Follows in terms of praise

Also, bummer that if It decides to become a franchise, two possible rad sequel names are already taken

  22. It Comes at Night is probably my most anticipated. Still waiting to see We Are the Flesh and Raw. Also waiting to see a movie called Safe Neighborhood, which I've avoided reading much about but have heard great things.

  23. The Void is out now, and it's pretty fun. Pretty much just an excuse to showcase practical effects work, but it definitely delivered on that front. Clearly inspired by and reminiscent of The Thing.
