What is the best way to do this? And why do these specifically taste better aged?

I've read that 120 minute aged 8-10 years taste amazing, almost like a barleywine.

as someone who just drank a 2008 a couple of weeks ago, there's a reason I said to age them :)

The Brunch Weasel stout in their beer geek series is phenomenal. Got lucky and saw it on tap one night at my local bar and I died from how delicious it was. For real.

That beer is made with poop!!!!! Whatever, I'd try it haha

They are supposedly opening a Mikkeller Bar somewhere in LA soon, and I think an actual brewery for the first time, in San Diego, all very interesting to me

What's everyone's go to beer that they always have in their fridge? The kind that you have for when you just want a beer and not something special or too intense. I've been trying to find one since I usually just have the beers I make but all the ones I have left don't really fit that category until I make some more.

  12. I rotate a lot throughout the year, but I tend to keep Westbrook Gose, Green Man ESB, and Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager around the house at almost all times. The Gose might fall in to the "something special or too intense" category that you are trying to avoid, but I find them incredibly crushable. As for the other two, they're both just highly-drinkable and sessionable beers that have great flavor and consistent quality, as well as common availability in bottle shops and grocery stores in my area.

Usually a local IPA or a pale ale. My go-tos are Half Acre Daisy Cutter, Revolution's Anti-Hero or Fist City, or Pipework's Lizard King. However, more often than not there's something new in there because Chicago has way too many breweries for their own good, and I want to drink everything.

I didn't even know about the poop thing until afterwards, but that didn't change my perception of it at all. Anything Mikkeller over here would be pretty cool, but California is a crowded market to enter. At least they have some brand recognition that precedes them which should help them out.

Green Man IPA is so good. Do they sell it everywhere? I think I've only had it at restaurants in NC @DontTellMom

There's not really a specific beer that I always like to have in my fridge, but I do always keep a sampler pack from one of my favorite local breweries.

technically false. it's made with coffee beans processed in a manner called cà phê Chồn. These coffee beans were eaten by creatures called civets, digested, and then defecated before being collected. It's commonly thought to be kopi luwak beans, which is done very inhumanely in most of the countries that produce it, but Mikkeller uses a supplier that treats the civets with respect & dignity (source: Beer Geek Brunch Weasel – Mikkeller )

I've had a few coffees made w/ cà phê Chồn & kopi luwak, and they've been delicious. I most recently had the Cigar City Hunahpu's made from it (affectionately dubbed by the brewery as Hunahpoopoo).

  18. I've never had any trouble finding it in NC bottle shops, and most grocery stores in the Asheville and surrounding area carry it. I'm sure as you head further east in the state it becomes slightly harder to find, but its definitely out there. Larger grocery stores in the Triad and Triangle areas carry it too.

    LOL'd. Also, would try.

Tried a Grimm Tesseract that my friend shipped to me from NY. Really good DIPA. Huge hop aroma and great hop flavor. Really wish I could get my hands on some more Grimm stuff down here in MD.
