I know someone who worked with him and yeah, he was absurd

 

I haven't been super active since posts move so fast here, sitting at 849

 

He seems like that kind of guy.

 

This dog episode of Futurama always rips my heart out.

 

I remember in my fangirl days I was never a huge 30 seconds to mars fan but I always heard the rumors about him being a jerk. I was always like "He can't be a jerk. Bert from the Used is friends with him!!" I liked the Used a lot in 2005 haha. It never occurred to my simple mind that they were probably both unpleasant people. #fanlogic

 

I actually hung out with Bert McCracken for a few days way back in the self-titled days because my girlfriend's roommate knew him. I wouldn't say he was a jerk, but he was a strange guy. He was off-putting I would say. He sort of just lived in his own world. He didn't treat anyone poorly, but he was definitely an unnerving presence.

 

Well I have a few friends I'd consider jerks... am i jerk too?!

I've seen this posted around but never watched it. The way she immediately throws the dog under the bus omg lmao

 

Possibly lol! But I was more laughing that delusional fan me wouldn't even entertain the thought that Bert could be a jerk, let alone that he'd deign to hang out with one.

I always assume famous ppl are nice to other famous ppl anyway. It's how they treat people they think are underneath them that counts!

I assume all of these band members that have fawning fans are jerks, but I am a cynic.

 

That's so interesting to me because I feel like that's exactly how he would be lol. I am fascinated by people's "celeb" or musician stories, even if there's no juicy gossip. I'm a dork tho


I know Ryan Ross has a reputation but he was super nice when I met him (tho I assume any smart musician is nice to fans). He was the only one meeting with fans after the show and it was me and 3 teenage girls and Panic were very new at that point and we didn't know which one he was so we kept calling him Brent lol. He was a good sport.

 

Literally everything I've read about Leto's joker "antics" makes me hate him.

Stephan Jenkins from Third Eye Blind is I think the only musician I can think of where multiple people have told me he's a dick

 

He's also one of my favourite musicians

 

I love 3eb and I'm ok with him being a dick, I'm pretty good as separating art from artist

 

One time I met Angela Davis and she was an actual goddess who laughed at the awkward joke I made to try and break the ice, bless her light

 

phew I thought the zombie apocalypse actually happened

 

I have many. The nicest musician I ever met was probably Kris Roe back when The Ataris were relevant. He was super personable. The least-pleasant person I have met was Jordan Burns, the drummer for Strung Out, who told me to fuck off when I was 15 years old.

 

My cousin got to meet a lot of musicians through his old job and he said (unsurprisingly) Dave Grohl was the coolest person he ever met. Super friendly and genuine. Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace was apparently the worst.
