Don't talk about the timejump here, spoil tag it.

Rick will attack the Sanctuary next. After that, Negan will attack Alexandria and completely fuck shit up. Rick offers a truce with Negan, and in the process, slits Negan's throat, but he doesn't die. Instead, he's put in the jail cell we saw Dwight in. He stays there. The time jump is a 2 year jump after the war. The Whisperers are introduced here, you've probably seen that mentioned in this thread. Negan is somewhat buddy-buddy with Rick at this point, even saved Rick from Walkers.

    Sorry, I thought the
timejump was common knowledge and openly talked about previously in this thread. I knew all about Negan being imprisoned. I've also seen The Whisperers being thrown out here and on other sites for years. Didn't a lot of people think the Wolves were supposed to be The Whisperers? Is Negan still in the comics? Or is his character gone? I thought I read something like he escapes the prison.

Ugh, are The Whisperers essentially just a repeating storyline again? More bad people trying to cause trouble? Or is there something more worthwhile with their storyline?

Negan actually does have a backstory now. Kirkman started a miniseries a while back (titled "Here's Negan") and so far there have been twelve issues. Negan was a high school coach. His wife's name was Lucille and she had cancer. At the time that they were informed of the cancer, Negan had been having an affair. When he told his mistress about Lucille's cancer, that relationship ended. He was with his wife in the hospital when the outbreak started. His wife died and turned. He then left and wound up, after meeting and losing various people on the road, meeting Dwight who took him back to his camp full of people who would eventually become the Saviors. There are still four issues left in the story and Negan is currently in the midst of taking over.

he's still in the comics, in one of the latest issues he rescued Rick from Walkers.

I may be in the monitory but I don't want there to be a time jump. It doesn't have to follow to comics in that aspect IMO. It works in the comics but I don't want an older Rick who has trouble walking.

I don't want there to really be one either, there wouldn't be a point.

Also, what about Heath and that white card that read "PPP?" Anyone thing that will come back?

Rick is only 38 years old after the time jump in the comic and the reason he has trouble walking is because Negan broke his leg in the final battle at Hilltop and he didn't get it treated right away because he was more concerned with keeping Negan alive after cutting him.

Oh I know, but he still seems like old man Rick now and would love it if they just went a different route

Wasn't the PPP a tease for the whisperers? Something about a music note or something...

They should've timejumped earlier in the series or gotten rid of Carl. He's clearly aged 7 years, but we're not even 2 years into the timeline of the apocalypse. That's just ridiculous. Even "Lost" knew to get rid of Walt when he hit a growth spurt.

    • ppp, standing for pianississimo and meaning "very very soft" (or alternatively pianissimo possibile, "as soft as possible").

I don't remember, but I hope not. They need to get Trash people and Saviors out of the way before they even start with them.

On another note, after Rick heals and they are ready to fight do you think they will go after the Saviors or Trash people first? The Saviors are a bigger issue, but man I'd be so mad at the trash people that I may go kill them all first.

Is that true? Only 2 years? I think it has to be longer. Judith is looking older too.

I think it's hilarious they keep skipping winter, or even a rainy day. Imagine some of these scenes taking place in the rain, the drama would be upped in a major way.

True, they only ever really showed a storm the one ep where they met Aaron. I think some snow scenes would be cool too. I totally get from a production standpoint why those are avoided.

Use rain machines then, you know how often it rains in that part of the country?

But seriously my response was more for the snow part.

I looked it up. It's been 600+ days since the beginning. Which would make Judith a little over a year old.

As long as it had the intensity of a Calvin and Hobbes or Elf snowball fight, I'd be down.

That can't be real. I honestly don't believe only a year has passed since the beginning of season 3. No way the writers and whole crew let that big of a thing go. Even the ending or Season 3 to opening or 4 leaves room for a nice time jump.

    That's goddamn hilarious.

I have a feeling the garbage people started as a group of LARP'ers and just ran with it.
