If you stage dive or crowd surf, you're a dork. I was front and center for the Menzingers and everyone had a great time except for the 50 people who kicked me/everyone else around me in the back of the head.

there's a way to get a little rowdy without being a piece of shit!!!! also people who don't know how to control their bodies and let themselves fly into the crowd that aren't in the pit area, ugh.

 

Yeah I don't buy the collateral damage/you shouldn't be there excuse. I wanted to be as close as possible in the crowd. I also was in control of myself and aware of the people around me enough to not hurt anyone. Literally the only time anyone was not cool/rude/shitty was when someone jumped on the back of someone's neck. It's a stupid tradition for dumb selfish people

 

what people also don't get is that being respectful of people doesn't mean you can't have a pit/get rowdy! it's just about making sure the people that aren't interested don't have to deal with that! plenty of room for both

absolutely, the crowd was wild for the show but everyone was kind've aware of what level to take it to

 

For real, someone tried crowdsurfing from behind the pit at the Thursday show a few nights ago and they just fell right into the put. Like, idk what they thought was gonna happen considering we all were just standing there watching and minding our own business.

Conversely, I went into the put during Circa Survive a couple months ago because everyone was dancing along to Mandala, then things chilled out for Travel Hymn and the pit was empty for 1000 Witnesses, so I went off but made sure I wasn't slamming into anybody or falling into bystanders.

 

happens a lot at hotelier shows too (depending on the support/crowd). some people choose the weirdest fucking moments to go off at shows

the weirdest one is wildflowers, people go off in the intro part lol

 

I saw the crowd go fucking insane at an Elvis Depressedly concert. I guess anything can happen lol

I don't mind if people crowd surf/mosh. They just need to know that they'll get elbowed hard if they hit me.
