I find it really hard to pick favorites on WYHSB

 

155 has one of my favorite Mark choruses

 

My dream now is a +44 / Alkaline Trio tour.

 

In Trio sized venues though. I really fucking hate the big ones.

 

I would literally pay to see this....well yeah that's how it works I guess lmao.

+44 has been dead for 10 years.

 

And yet they're still respected. We can dream don't ruin our dreams

Obviously I'd rather have Blink then +44, and if their return meant Blink ending I wouldn't want them back. Buuuut if Mark and Travis want to do that when Matt finally goes back to working on Trio I'd be ok with that too lol

 

I can't believe that project only lasted one album, but they did have a lot happen in that time span.

 

Who are we kidding though, according to Reddit and YouTube commenters Blink sounds like +44 now so we already got more +44 music lawl!!!!11!!1

 

I'd like California more if it sounded like +44

 

I don't want California to sound like +44, because then it would just be +44. I love the sound of +44, and I can understand that, but I also love the sound of California.

 

+44 was never remarkably different from blink-182. It was what he turned to to make the music he wanted to make when he didn't feel like he could with blink. While their presence and influence was there, Shane and Craig didn't shape +44's sound as much as Mark, Travis, and Jerry Finn. Outside of getting to see them live again, or wanting a full album of Mark written/sung songs rather than a partnership with someone like Skiba, I don't think a 2017 +44 would sound all that different from 2017 blink-182. +44 was Mark making the music he wanted to make then, with Travis and Jerry Finn and Shane and Craig. Current blink is him doing the same now, just with Skiba and Feldmann. Even if I liked the output better then, I don't think it's because it's +44, it's just what Mark wanted to do then vs. what he's aiming for now.

Now, if I could have the Mark/Travis/Carol Heller lineup of +44, I'd take that any day. Or really, blink with Mark, Travis, and a female guitarist/singer. Mark's voice would bounce off a female vocalist really well, as it did on WYHSB.

+44 posted photos of their signed contracts for a 2nd album. Maybe that contract was voided or evolved once Blink 182 returned to do Neighbourhoods, but a second album was in the plans best I can remember.

 

I put the three deluxe songs on a disc for the car and I realize it's been super long since I've loved Matt's vocals this much.

Agreed, although you were a much bigger matt fan then I was. But that's the beauty of it I guess. I knew who he was and liked ak3 quite a bit but I will say my fandom for the guy and even his back catalogue has expanded 10x since hearing him on California/hearing his interviews about blink/meeting him at the MG. Dude is super talented and nice, and these deluxe songs sound amaaaaazing

I want to but my show is in 26 days so I'm trying to resist lol

 

I'll probably skip through....same old setlist lol. Was hoping they played Parking Lot or Misery. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll play that at your show.

I have to wait until the fall when they 'might' come play a hometown show again. Fingers crossed theres a ton of deluxe songs played live by then lol.

 

Always is so damn perfect with Matt.

 

I'd be happy if they did though my night would be MADE if it was Misery. I also want to see Sober. I also heard they're playing Anthem 2 which I haven't seen live yet
