The red and blue clothing has also been speculated to represent red vs. blue states

I've heard that but I don't really agree with it. A) because the film seems to take place in New England which is a largely blue region and B) the the microaggressions littered throughout the part seem to be more the behavior of white liberals who don't know they're being racist, or don't consider themselves racist because they manage to avoid the N word.

Yeah I feel like if it were anyone else in NA I'd be like "Fuck this" but with Jordan Peele...he might be able to pull it off

  9. Eh, I don't know how to feel about that. The prospect of an Akira adaptation has always worried me. Though, if it's done right, it could be exciting.

That headline confused me, because I know Avatar and Titanic and the original Star Wars were original screenplays. Then the first sentence clarified, Get Out is the highest grossing debut project for a writer/director from an original screenplay. Okay.

    That's awesome.

Is it his debut project? Didn't he write Keanu?

I don't think he was writer/director tho? Not sure.

Co-writer, didn't direct it. That was Peter Atencio, who directed a lot of, if not all, K&P sketches

Watched this last night, it was pretty great. Loved the combo of thriller, horror, and sci fi in a twilight zone kinda way. I know everyone seemed to liked the ending the best, but for me the best scenes where the ones with Logan, Walter and Georgina and how unsettling they were. The Georgina one on one with Chris in cell phone unplugging scene was probably my favorite part.

Read through the whole thread, all the stuff people took away form this and all the little details I missed was great and made me appreciate this movie even more, thanks guys!

Just saw this last night. I'm really sensitive to anything that's at all scary, but I was fucking terrified and having a hard time seeing how people could say it was "not scary".

What was with Georgina acting super weird and tearing up in that series of closeups? To me it seemed like a struggle, as if the real Georgina was trying to come out, but I'm not sure if that's right.

It's a great move and I'm excited for it, but...

"Universal Pictures is saying “Get in” to Get Out filmmaker Jordan Peele."

...really? Did they really? Did they have to write that sentence?
