While I don't think the album was necessarily worth time and money spent, I do think it's a good album in it's own right.

 

Idk i still think it's a weird turn of phrase. The appeal is they make music people enjoy? Idk i guess when I don't like something, even if I don't see any redeeming qualities in it myself, obviously people connect to it and enjoy it and that's all there is to it. But idk im probably being nitpicky lol. I'm sure I've said it myself before, I guess I just realized recently I don't like it.

 

I think Deftones are bad/overrated which has been very unpopular in my friends circle since the new record dropped and they learned the truth about me.

 

I never got into Blink-182 and just don't see they hype about them.

 

Yeah it probably is just another way of saying you don't like something and I'm looking too deeply into it. Maybe some people MIGHT use it to find the specific reasons WHY people enjoy something when you don't. Like if someone said "I don't get the Beach Boys" and then someone replies "Oh I love the harmonies" or something. Then again I'm not sure it's possible to be "talked into" liking music you don't enjoy so whatever haha.

 

Yeah I say it to find reasons. It obviously doesn't necessarily change my mind but a lot of things I dislike I can at least see what other people enjoy about it, so when I don't see what that is I try to learn why.

 

-Adele's 25 is boring, and I enjoy 21 and 19
-Jets to Brazil's Perfecting Loneliness is better than Orange Rhyme Dictionary, it has more feeling and much better production
-I don't like Kendrick Lamar
-My guilty pleasures are Bollywood soundtracks

 

I think Bruno Mars has the potential to be the MJ of this generation.

 

I used "I don't get" when speaking about Father John Misty because I was honestly confused about his general persona and how it related to the music he made. It lead to interesting conversation but I still found that album to be bland and not really anything I'd dig into. I suppose that goes in here.

 

Sometimes I don't like something but totally understand the appeal. I use "don't get" when I don't see what someone likes in it.

I guess if I don't like something it's easy to see why ppl like it just by hearing them talk about it. So I usually always get it, I guess I just don't agree on it being good or effective. But again, I've prob used the phrase myself lol so it's not big deal or anything

 

I think he's so talented but he has a lot of cornball songs. He has so much potential but needs better songs. Tho his last album was a step in the right direction imo

 

I'm with you guys there. ^ Bruno Mars is undeniably talented but his current work leaves so much to be desired. With the exception of Uptown Funk, but that was a collaboration, if you want to get technical.

Nate Ruess put out a great solo album.

Hebrews by Say Anything is also really great.

Evanescence's first album is still fantastic.

 

I always really liked Aiden and I still do. Wil Francis is awesome.
