Hahaha is actually thought these are two wildly different expamples as writing

While hos 3 dancey singles were close to my fave songs of 2016(15?), he just toured here a week ago and I saw vids of him looking dead behind the eyes and generally not putting in in his shows and Biebs hasn't won me over just yet, the tunes are certainly on the way. Solid album

Metallica on the other hand. Comeback album of the year!

    Funny memory:
I was given a burnt copy of Untitled in 2003/early 2004 when I was 13 years old, in high school. I was immediately blown away by this album and it was basically all I listened to back then.

I did not really spend my time on the internet back then. But I did, however, copy the songs on to the computer to put them on my (I think) 56 or something MB mp3 player.

I was 13 and my English was not as fluent as today, I was only learning the language in school for 3 years at the time.

So I just named the songs on my computer after some lyrics I could make out. For some of them I genuinely thought that was what they were called.

Here are the ones I can remember:

    1) Face in the summer
    2) Miss U
    3) I don't wanna know
    4) Go Back
    5) Like Violence
    6) Lost Without You

    Some even came close!

man that was a lot of catching up i had to do. sad i missed the everytime i look for you love. probably my favorite TOYPAJ track these days.

I think Mark was the better songwriter up until Untitled. Not a fan of Tom's side of Dude Ranch save for untitled, enthused, and pathetic if it counts

People always refer to I Miss You as more of a Tom song but I think they wrote it 50/50. Pretty sure Mark was originally supposed to sing the chorus too but it fit Tom's range better.

Random question, but does anyone know how to find out how many people attended a show? I'm trying to find out how many people went to the austin show

    Reunion tour

Mark and Tom were dead-equal songwriting wise until TOYPAJ, where I feel Tom inched slightly ahead. Mark played more of a sidekick role on Untitled, but still managed to contribute the best song (Stockholm Syndrome IMO) and one of the most memorable parts (chorus+bridge of Feeling This). And of course Here's Your Letter and Go are super underrated.

Was the set last night really only 18 songs with no encore?? Seems low for them

    Things have changed.

They surely had to fit into the time constraints of the rodeo. It wasn't technically their show.

  17. Yeah for a rodeo show that seems logical.

Oh yeah that does make more sense then. Glad to see Sober stuck around even with time constraints

I have a feeling that Skiba is going to have a killer verse on 'Misery'. I don't know why, I can just feel it.

Given his track record on California/Parking Lot if I was a betting man I'd be backing your claim

Yeah they did write it 50/50. Just like with Feeling This, they both went in separate rooms and wrote lyrics and just put their parts together. I believe Travis suggested that they write about Nightmare Before Christmas as it was his favorite movie and that was the only guidelines.

Looks like the only song they skipped was Built This Pool, no?

I mean Los Angeles is a cool song. Mainly the chorus and bridge, but I don't understand the love they have for it. Sober, San Diego, and Left Alone are far better and deserve to be in the setlist more than LA.
