Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I've never been a big 'go to a concert by yourself' person lol I usually try to get at least one friend to come with. But I perhaps will! I just find it surprising; when we stared dating she was the biggest tom fan girl lol

I'd go to an Ava Concert in a heartbeat. Sad I've missed out on them in years past.

But who knows, I doubt Tom could pull it all together.

  5. Dude, I'm the same way ! Going without my girlfriend isn't fun, but luckily we love all the same stuff except for one thing. If an AVA tour does happen it'd be cool to see it in a club setting.

I saw them in a club setting , it actually is pretty cool.

Yeah her and I as well usually. This was a surprise that she won't go to AvA. She's probably also saying that for budget reasons(she's a penny pincher and we're already going to Impractical Jokers, Blink, A Perfect Circle and breaking Benjamin together). The only music that we don't intersect on is I love Taking Back Sunday and she loathes them lol so I have to get a friend to go with me to them(like I did this coming July for my bday lol).

  7. it's funny how the Angels and Airwaves Instagram account is basically just used to promote shit in their store over and over and over.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree with all those. First Date, Lonely Guy, One Good Reason and sometimes Shut Up are my weak ones. Like I still love the album. And the three bonus full length songs are all awesome.

Yeah those full length bonus songs should have been on the album to begin with. I feel like TOYPAJ was the first album where Tom matched Mark in terms of songs. Before that I always felt (and still do) like Mark carried the earlier albums. TOYPAJ was the first one where I felt they were on equal footing. Then Tom did Box Car which was probably his peak and surpassed Mark on Untitled.

Yeah that's a good point, prob the only album where they were equal. I think Mark is great on Untitled but Tom definitely took the lead a tad. Mark definitely owns Dude Ranch and has the edge on Enema (for me anyways)

Oh don't get me wrong, I think Mark is great on Untitled too but you can tell the entire album is Tom's idea/inspiration and he's the clear force behind the direction of the album.

I think Mark has more than an edge on Enema. Mark's songs on that album are: Don't Leave Me, Going Away to College, WMAA, Adam's Song, Party Song and Wendy Clear. Outside of Party Song the rest are all classic blink songs. Tom's songs are: Dumpweed, Aliens Exist, Dysentery Gary, ATST, Mutt and Anthem. While I like all of Tom's songs except Aliens I think there's a pretty big gap between Mark's line up vs. Tom's.

Yeah okay, you're right. Besides Party Song, Mark has my top 5 on there haha.

And Adam's Song is still my favorite blink song ever.

I think Mark and Tom are actually very equal on Enema, although Mark has my favorite on there (Going Away to College)

the ships have all sailed to the sea

Mark is so strong on Enema. Don't Leave Me, Going Away to College, What's My Age Again, Adam's Song, and Wendy Clear are all fantastic. Same for his contributions on Dude Ranch.

  19. Which would you prefer?

    MARK'S DUDE RANCH:
    Pathetic
    Dammit
    Waggy
    Apple Shampoo

    Lemmings

    TOM'S DUDE RANCH:

    Voyeur
    Boring
    Dick Lips
    Enthused
    Untitled
    Degenerate
    I'm Sorry

    MARK'S ENEMA OF THE STATE:

Yeah I feel like Dude Ranch and Enema were Mark's peak, he was literally pumping out such great songs. His only miss might just be Party Song and even that is listenable (at times).

You just have to pick one? Damn. I'd go Mark's Enema songs.

Now if you want a ranking I'd go:
    Mark Enema
    Mark Dude Ranch
    Mark's TOYPAJ
    Tom's TOYPAJ
    Tom's Enema
    Tom's Dude Ranch

Again Mark and Tom's TOYPAJ songs are super super close though.

Always do the right thing. Supporter

Adams Song and Going Away to College are top tier blink, Wendy Clear and Don't Leave Me and What's My Age Again are fun. Party Song is butt. Dumpweed rips and All the Small Things is a classic pop song but Mutt and Aliens don't do anything for me and while Dysentery Gary is a cool pop punk song, it (and Mutt) are lyrical garbage.

Yeah, for Enema and Dude Ranch Mark was a far more mature songwriter who better understood lyricism, melody, and structure. On Dude Ranch Mark's Dammit, Apple Shampoo, Emo, Waggy, and Josie easily top Tom's output, Untitled, Dick Lips, and Enthused are cool but Voyeur, Boring, and Degenerate are mediocre to terrible. Mark was just as strong as he always was, often better, on Untitled, but Tom really pushed himself and stuff like I Miss You, Down, Not Now, Asthenia and Always are great.

I agree with everything except your opinion on Lemmings. I think that's a super underrated song that I really didn't start to appreciate until a few years ago.
